You really cant visually tell how wide the front tires are because of how the car is built. The jack head goes into a slot in the frame of the Charger, to lift the car. . Vette owners did not learn this little secret, when they bought their cars. It appears the consensus is 275 - Do you believe 285 will rub? Please let me know, thanks again. But try to get a performance tire in that size that you like is the hard part. The 255s will not rub but I would still go with the 245s on the front.
I've had 30 cars in my life and 3 flats, not too concerned. I have not lowered the car. . Well I don't think there is any room for the battery under the hood and if it is the trunk it keeps the engine heat off of it. Can you tell me if the oem wheels from a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee will fit? So i will have no rubbing and be totally okay with getting 255 in the front and 275 in the rear? The wheels are 9in wide which is wider than stock which I believe will help compensate. .
I still want all season tires, but I would like to increase the tire size. . . I just sold my Vette so, I could trade my 300C in for a Charger. So far so good but I have not abused them yet! My rims are are stock - I believe they are 20x9.
I would like to increase to 275 or so if I could in the rear. I don't think anyone who's tried that has had any trouble with them. I think my 275s sit perfect on the rim. How does this inflator operate. I thought to myself that I might have been able to squeeze a bigger tire on based on the outside of the rims appearence. My main concern is that I dont get a tire which is too wide in the rear and I rub and cant drive the same as I do now.
I will also be putting on hubcentric rings. . The sidewalls have a definite bulge to them, but it's a uniform bulge, not an abnormality. If I put after market wheels with an offset of zero or lower offset like 18mm, will it affect negatively. .
I was told no spare to help with the weight distribution 52% on the front and 48% rear. I hope it fits well on my rim and on the car. . No more Continental junk, I trust. Just always a small concern when you order 4 tires online and im like.
Anybody have a manual covering this topic? I used to own Toyo T1Rs - I would of bought those for my car if they made them in the size I want. I have had great performance with them but like every performance tire. . . Goodyear tires are put on Chargers, at the factory? No entry about tire inflator for the spare tire. Had to learn from other owners. It take a Big battery to keep up with all of the accessory's and to crank the engine.
The Toyo's are much grippier. . As for the spare tire it shock me to when I found out that it did not have one but I just got use to it. At 4,140 pounds are we worried about what a tire and aluminum wheel adds. I have the Toyo Proxes 4's all around, and I love them.
I wonder what the weight distribution would be if the battery were under the hood and a spare tire in the trunk. C6 Vettes do not have a jack. . The front has a lot less room then the rear. Thank you in advance for any advice I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I know the stock offset is +55.
