The first time it happened in January, we blamed it on the very cold winter we were having and a new battery was purchased. In november, car lost power in traffic, almost had wreck, barely made it to shop. Approx 6 mo after I had the car I was told by the service manager at chevy that there was something on their trouble board and they had to reprogram the computer. We have had the car in for work at least three times for incidentals. I removed the harness, soldered the leads back together, taped them and reassembled it. Complaint Number: 10885724 Incident Date: July 6, 2016 Date Added to File: July 18, 2016 Description of the Complaint: Dash board lights began to flicker while driving on the interstate.
Had it turned off and thought that somehow fixed problem but it happened again yesterday in traffic with my 93 yr old mom in car. I broke it accidentally while hauling wood for my 2x4 tower game. It worked, I can't believe I did it with the help of my sons steady soldering hands!!!! He is due in January and if I go to leave a location with him in the dead of winter and my car won't start or worse, I will be one very upset mother. Clutch replaced, tube replaced in engine, etc. However, that did not solve the problem. Only trouble was to find a 10mm socket wrench at King Dollar, and I am glad to learn from you experts. Went to mechanic, who replaced bulbs with brand new ones, and they didn't work either.
I noticed the speed did not seem right. Oh and make sure you change your timing belt every 60k miles. Then the dash lights went about a month ago. My headlights go off when ever and turn back on after awhile. If you still have electrical problems after performing this fix and testing, you can carefully take the splicer apart to see if the wire groupings in your car match mine. Eventually tracked it down to a burnt out wiring splice, which had to be replaced. Check engine lights are triggered by a problem that the computer sees.
The approximate failure mileage was 50,000. My headlights are on the same switch, and Im able to turn everything else on. I am so stressed, this car is a total nightmare, and I have done everything possible to keep it in good working order. The failure mileage was unknown. Perhaps I'll use a test light to examine the fuses and circuits for the dash and interior lights, as the fuses appeared good. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem.
Look at the picture though. Operations getting some brake lights is complete! My aveo is driven mostly on the interstate and no more than 30 miles in each direction. The contact stated that the ignition key failed to disengage from the ignition without warning. Complaint Number: 10897291 Incident Date: August 17, 2016 Date Added to File: August 19, 2016 Description of the Complaint: Less than 30,000 miles. If you need to replace a blown fuse in your Aveo, make sure you replace it with one that has the same amperage as the blown fuse.
There are no lights even at the gear stick so I cannot see anything while I am driving at night in terms of which gear am i using. A slight lean is noticeable on corners taken at speed but the overall driving experience is precise and pleasant, with the car holding the line during straight, hard braking. Thanks a lot, everything works fine. Now I can not keep engine light off since I got my car, I think I put more money in buying parts then I paid for the car. Again my dashboard and rear lights now work and my wife is real happy that I was able to fix this issue that has been on going for 2 months.
It sometimes will flash if your doing heavy cornering, or running thru a mud puddle or heavy rain. Comparably-equipped models from Toyota and Honda cost a bit more, but have longer histories and better resale values. Complaint Number: 10524192 Incident Date: March 6, 2013 Date Added to File: July 10, 2013 Description of the Complaint: The contact owns a 2009 chevrolet aveo. There was no warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. My knowledge about this vehicle and its wiring includes only this fix, so I can't help you with other issues. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. There's no rhyme or reason to the layout, and with 6 brown wires, 3 purple wires, and for me one green, I was about to pull what little hair I have left figuring this out.
There's 2 prongs holding the other half of the light on. I have changed the bulb on the tail light, but it still won't come on. The approximate failure mileage was 3,180. Chevrolet informed me they know this and it is normal! The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. There was no manual switch to operate the exterior lights. I can not see at night how fast I am going, can't see my gauges, or when I am shifting into drive etc.
