The only two negatives in my eyes is fuel economy. Note: This is an expansion of recall 11V-139. I have had both of the recall repairs done but this is still happening at an increasing rate. I only have one key and plastic cards on the fob. Just made a very pleasurable drive to Florida and was well pleased with the gas mileage! My former 2001 Pontiac Montana mini-van had way better pick up! We were on the road for six days with 4 adults and the 2 kids and my cousins wife does not pack light. Cargo is not a problem with this van.
Drivability - poor - it turns on a satellite dish! The ride is outstanding the vehicle size. The contact stated that the failure occurred several times at random. We highly recommend Bill Manis to anyone needing a vehicle new or used. I will say out of the 2300 miles we put on it for the trip I did get 24 out of one tank, but for the most part it was 20 to 22 with me pushing it pretty hard. The control head is the actuall unit where the buttons are.
We also had 3 small coolers in the van for drinks and snacks. And the next time it needs to start it will without issue. Chrysler should have burried it a little. The 2014 recall was completed for the key fob and ignition switch. While driving 25 mph, the vehicle stalled and the electronic stability control warning indicator illuminated.
Did not have this issue prior to key fob recall. Only light that appears on dash is the traction control when the motor shuts down. We have been told that it will take 2—4 weeks for the part to arrive, and we are not being provided a free rental during this time. For the money we could not make it work so we started looking at used vans as they generally dont hold their value well. The failure mileage was 80,000.
There are no indicator lights, check engine light, or alarms at all that come on, except for the skid warring light. I sat for about 5 minutes in a panic trying to figure out how cars I was blocking were going to get out of their parking spots. Auto locks would not unlock, the car was completely dead. The vehicle was taken to crystal Chrysler Jeep Dodge 1005 South suncoast blvd, homosassa, fl 34448 , but the failure could not be duplicated. When motor shuts off with no warning making for a very dangerous situation.
I encourage you to test drive one for yourself and see what I found out the hard way - Chrysler can make a great product! Also, one time during the same day that this happened, the engine started but then immediately died. The vehicles were recalled due to a faulty electrical connector in the optional Blind Spot Detection System. The latter item aids drivers any time the vehicle is in reverse by warning of cross traffic in both directions to prevent your minivan from being T-boned. This kept them happy for the 19hrs on the way there and the 19hrs on the way back. I really do like this vehicle.
The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The kids love the swivel and go seats and the fact that the middle captains chairs adjust forward and back. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. It's happened three times in the last two months. It was not making any noise at this time, when it cooled down it restarted and the engine was knocking. It is the one I have been waiting for. The approximate failure mileage was 153,000.
The vehicle was repaired multiple times; however, the failure persisted. Chrysler did it right this time! Put car in neutral or park and it will start back up. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the egr valve needed to be replaced. This is very infrequent but has gotten a little worse. The vehicle stalled and the driver was able to coast into a parking lot and power off the engine. Radio on, heat on then with no warning at all the vehicle shut off, lost all power. Chrysler's number for this recall is L25.
