New water pump, power steering pump, air pump , alternator , thermostat, all pullies both drive and idlers , new serpentine belt ,radiator , fan clutch and all hoses. It was a ranch pickup. This truck was about as good as you could expect a truck to be a pulling heavy loads, and its gas mileage while not great unloaded 13. This is a great truck and could have the box removed and a flatbed tow body easily installed since the long wheelbase. I will say in fairness the truck never stranded me anywhere. They used it to pull stock trailers.
The truck has a ton of power and sounds great. General Comments: This truck was sitting at a local small dealer for over a year. Check engine light comes on when there is back pressure or when I start coming to a stop. Running board are brand new Diamond plate alu. Truck is in excellent condition , interior no smoking is excellent condition. The paint looks new and everyone compliments me on how clean it looks, especially with the mud tires. Runs very rough with no power.
Rides like a heavy duty truck. Faults: Front brake pads needed to be replaced when I got it. Have you had a chance to have the issue diagnosed from a local repair shop or dealership? All are load range E. The truck is completely stock. They are in far worse shape. The only way to get it to run right again is to turn it off and turn it on again. Faults: Driver seat has wear.
Under slung boxes are original Diamond plate alu. For the year and mileage, it is in great shape. The only thing that wasn't replaced was ac pump which works fine. Engine runs and has never been touched internal. The truck performs like a real trooper.
If you're looking at buying one of these, have a few dollars stored away for potential sensor issues, or make sure you have access to some parts trucks. Brake lines two failures in the metal lines on the rear brakes. Rear brakes but these lasted 90K miles so no issue there. . This truck has way too many sensors. Clutch once but slave failed twice. Has block heater and can be plugged in for cold weather.
Interior is in nice shape. Has a beefy look and a drive train to back it up. So again, unless you really, really, really need a heavy duty truck, then I would strongly recommend a standard duty F-250, or a heavy half ton pickup. Seems like a solid performer. General Comments: First off let me say I am a Ford man and will remain one, but I want to caution anyone thinking about purchasing a heavy duty truck: If you do not absolutely positively need a heavy duty truck, then get a standard duty because the heavy duties cost 3x as much to repair on any given repair, and they break just as often as a standard duty truck.
General Comments: Seats are comfy. I bought it and drove it everywhere for a few months. Good luck with your issue! When I closed company I kept truck as my personal. I have seen newer trucks of other brands. Aside from that, it stinks that you have a sensor issue with the truck. It might be worth fixing as opposed to replacing the truck. Under valve cover harness needed to be replaced.
Yes, I took in account the diesel bubbles and I can do math. Has pulled campers and cars with ease, and gets better fuel mileage than my old 4 cylinder Ranger. The truck has a sensor issue. . . . .
