We check the mega fuse and its good opened it up and looked , then check for voltage at the alternator on the wire coming from the batt. Tested the alternator and it tested good. It is not always an F5 it is another position on my 99, and some 98's are a little different, but your 97 most likely is F5. Vehicle was purchased on 19981031.
