I try starting the car after this and everything is back to normal. So far mine has not had a problem. But I found a good mechanic or simply an honest mechanic He said both cars has the return ho … se leak. I'm confused since the motor did start up for at least 10seconds or so. At least hopefully it is a fuse as that is a lot easier to replace than a wiring harness. Glad I dont have to spend all this money. Not sure this is good since the fuse is a protection element.
Just do the oppsosite to replace the starter. I have no idea what that is. Trouble shooting so far: I've cranked the engine for a few secs and checked the drivers side plugs and they're all wet. I'm in the middle of changing the valve cover gaskets on my '99. As far as labor that will range it could cost 80 or more to just put it in.
The initial reason I thought a plug or two went bad was because of the rough idle but it would run pretty smooth with a little gas higher rpm. Correction: at around I mentioned something about a fuel line on the back of the intake manifold, ignore that. Under normal usage they should last past 200K as in my previous Lexus. Well I think all my fuses are good. I'll try to just check to see if i still get 12V between the short circuit point.
Auto parts stores sell these spark test modules to go in serious with plug and wire. Very cheap clear plastic so you can see arc of a spark. Maybe tomorrow I'll do that but could both of those go bad? There is a very detailed description of how … to fix this on the lexusownersclub. I got confused because that is actually what the brake booster vacuum line connects to on right hand drive models like this one.
A common problem on these cars. Sometimes there is an access panel on top. The second one can be reached from the gap between the fender wall and engine. The way I calculate mine it will be around 500 from my dealer. Oh well, on to my next question in a few.
The contact stated that while stationary, the vehicle would not start when prompted on more than one occasion. Answer - local and hiway vary. I've done many plugs before so I figured it'd be easy. After reading this thread, I decided I'd check just visually the wiring in that area and try pushing the wires further in to their harnesses; I did this on the throttle body actuators, fuel injectors, coil packs, etc. I would go with the Denso myself based upon that fact alone.

Good luck with your new starter only denso and only new :D Daffy. The year before was the starter. Is there a fuse I'm missing that is causing the plugs not to fire? Lexus Satisfaction told me the recall work was performed in July 1998 for my starter for the campaign they did on the 1995 through 1997 vehicles.
