After 15 to 30 minutes of waiting the car will start like nothing ever happened. Because it's black so I can't tell if it's blown without just replacing it, can I. It happens every couple of months. I used to love to get in the car and just drive, with no radio on, I don't in this car. A few months ago the battery light would come on and go off maybe once a week during normal driving for a few minutes. My car only has 27,000 miles and a lot of problems.
I disconnected the battery to check the cables for corrosion by stripping back some of the insulation. Wrong answer , the question is when the --wipers are turned off- -they stop sticking straight up. I used the battery as my ground for the meter. I replaced it and the corrosion problem went away. Some head units have built-in fuses, typically located on the back side, and some installations have additional in-line fuses located somewhere on the power wire or wires. See sources and related links below for installation videos. He reset the comp and the car started right up.
Also as you can see you don't have to cut as big a carpet patch as i did. I will work my way backwards from the gauge ground first. All the lights, radio, everything comes on as normal but when you turn the key over to start it won't do nothing, click, or anything. I have taken it to dealer and they can never get this to happen when they have the car and they can never offer any solutions. I know of may who own this year and model Impala that are having the same trouble. Giving me a clicking noise with no alerts on in the car.
Just think happy thoughts when you look out of the windshield. It used to be an intermittent issue. Same issue keeps happening maybe 4 times a month if not more have to wait 10 mins in order for car to start. The harness is right in the fold just under the plastic interior trim. Then the headlights went out and there was an 18 wheeler behind me, what a scarey feeling.
In the case of your car radio fuse, it is designed to sacrifice itself to prevent a dangerous amount of current from flowing through your car radio and the associated circuit. I was too broke to address it then, so every early morning my car would require a nice jump start to begin the day. I'm ready to switch to a different make of car. I had all the windows up, nothing was turned on and the noise is terrible.
On average, about once a week over the past two months it has been very hard to start. It never showed any code on the lcd, never said locked, no dash errors. Took to a mechanic who checked it high and low and said that he could not figure out what is the problem or causing it. It either stops completely or will stop and go in opposite direction as the button pushed. I was on the side of the road for awhile until they came back on and then I never dimmed them any more.
The issue cropped up again a couple of months later. I had put on new wipers after the first incident, yet these wipers iced up as well. The car was shut down. Any ideas how to reset the radio? In this case the wiring diagram needs to be compared to the physical condition of the wiring. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You can pull it out and hook the wiring harresses together and wipers will work, but the intermitten will not. Came home, did some browsing on line and found this site and the comments are exactly the same as what I have experienced and the mechanic.
