In direct mode between the 2nd and 3rd gear the gearbox lamp switches on and the car goes in failsave mode. But it only does it once in awhile. After fluid change i dont have first gear but all the other gears including reverse work fine. Records show that the passenger seat occupancy sensor was replaced Aug 21, 2007 at first owners expense. This will be your best bet when diagnosing. Car will hardly move forward. An independent mechanic verified that the sensor is bad. Restart the engine and the code disappear. I had to get my brand new car towed back to the dealership where they replaced the transmission. Also if standing still in Tiptronic, if I shift from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 1st it jerks hard. During failsafe mode the transmission will be shifted into a higher gear to allow the vehicle to be driven to a shop. I've noticed that my voice commands are now more accurate, the display colors match my interior, the annoying lawyer screen automatically disappears and the car is much more responsive could be my happier attitude.
