The rear of the sedan is another smooth cohesive design with an integrated bumper, and again only small seams at the edges. The rear door opening is a bit narrow, though. We reached in from behind, pressed down on one small square button on each side, and an easy shove forward dropped each seat flat. The dash panel looks better at night than during the day, with the reddish-orange lighting having its chance to be seen.

Flipping the seats down is easy. Bad business and would never recommend buying a vehicle from this dealer. Handles like a go-kart, begs to be mod'ed but is fun even without it. . Be prepared to spend some money on maintenance if you want to keep it nice and keep up with the rust! In a head-on collision the front of the chassis is designed to redirect energy to the outside rails, and not down the center toward the front seats. Legroom front and rear has been improved over the Protege and so is copious. Grafting a hatchback onto the nubile nose of the four-door would never do.

I without a doubt will always use this company again in the future. All hatchback Mazda3 Sports also get anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution as standard equipment. Only major misses is the paint is not very durable. Three big gauges are dead ahead for the driver, but they're down in tunnels where they effectively hide from the glare of the sun. Visibility is limited in the rearview mirror of the five-door by the two rear headrests and the center brake light, which intrude a little into window space.
