The vehicle was not drivable. The contact took the vehicle to a mechanic and was advised that the rear differential failed. This is my only means of tranportation and I am very disapointed that Nissan hasn't recalled this problem. Then a few weeks later my engine light came on and when I brought it to dealer they said they had to replace my exhaust manifold. The dealership ordered replacement parts for what was broken and they paid for myself to have a rental car while I wait for the parts to come in and get put in. Nobody was hurt, but I wouldn't want to see what would happen if it failed on the highway.
After checking salvage prices they recommended a full replacement with a new Nissan axle. The only possible explanation is that the rear differential gave out. We test drove the truck along with a mechanic from the dealer and they both acknowledge the vibration. While driving approximately 55 mph, the contact heard a loud noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. It shouldn't take too long to empty a quart. Recently, there was failure with the exhaust system. I do not trust this vehicle and feel unsafe driving it as I am not sure when the next failure will happen. Dealer is trying to avoid covering it under warranty. Drove slowly to nissan dealer this morning with pops happening driving straight.
