I have replaced the spark plugs after being covered in oil do to a valve cover gasket leak that was a nice chunk of change. It is one type of indicator,which indicates a problem with throttle system in Volkswagen car,such as,equivalent with the throttle pedal, throttle body, traction control, or cruise control. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? No advice can be given without the codes. The vehicle's computer must recognoze the throttle body so when replacing it with new or used it will need to be programmed at the dealer. Like Sarah said, the problem is probably the ignition coil for one of the spark plugs the coil transforms the battery power into high voltage, to create a spark across the plug gap. If it is smoother with higher revs, your problem is almost certainly a cylinder misfire. So sprayed in where i put the key in,It started ok and i have not had anmy trouble with it.

According to the service bulletin you would need to cut out the old harness and connector and splice in the new connector and wires. Please seems to be the problem. But I am sure it has something to do with a sensor or a wire. Wow, after 2 years asking them to check the problem the were not seeing anything now they noticed something and charging me +R4000 to fix it. Would that have anything to do with it? I have replaced the water pump, thermostat housing and after putting it on the computer it said cam shaft positioning sensor so i replaced that and it still comes on. Does this expensive part usually need to be replaced, I mean the whole thing? From a smooth idle 800 rpm in neutral, slowly increasing rpm to 1100 the engines starts to sound like a diesel, increase rpm further to 1500 and diesel sound goes away and epc light turns on or a second then turns off. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have a 2011 vw cc sport and my epc light will come on and the screen will read service engine now but then the light immediately goes off. This applies for the L5 2. Read it over and if you feel you can do the repair then good luck with the repair. Do this if possible to see where the problems maybe coming from and ways to fix them. I went to turn the car back on and it started but when i went to accelerate there was no power. I already eliminated the ignition switch and relay. The dealer could never find anything wrong with it because no code or light came on the dashboard. The light still comes on and the garage are unable to fix it? I checked the hose for any leaks or cracks and found the vacuum plastic hose cracked.

Would one of these be the offending fuse or is the main fuse box located elsewhere, like under the steering wheel? This has just started recently on my wife's 2000 Polo as well and hte brake lights are not working.
