There was also unintended movement while the vehicle was in gear. Complaint Number: 10787717 Incident Date: September 1, 2015 Date Added to File: November 2, 2015 Description of the Complaint: I own a 2006 dodge ram 2500. They will go from right to left quickly and back and forth. It would seem that the only solution is to take it to the dealer at a considerable expense to see what is wrong. Well, I figured 'these things happen' but 4 miles later the radio came back on and the 'no fuse' warning disappeared. Most of the time however my turn signals will not even come on.
At times, left and right will flash when only one direction is selected. The manufacturer should investigate and repair any defect in materials for the truck with that few miles on it. Complaint Number: 10342369 Incident Date: June 16, 2010 Date Added to File: July 10, 2010 Description of the Complaint: 2006 dodge ram 2500 laramie. Basically the engine was shot. Example I am making a left turn and turn my left turn signal on.
The contact stated that the turn signals and the windshield wipers stopped working on the vehicle. I am not alone with this issue. This happens on a regular basis when driving this vehicle. I have a 04' Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi 5. My hope and prayer is to have other Dodge Ram truck owners understand the importance of this problem.
Complaint Number: 10483022 Incident Date: March 22, 2012 Date Added to File: November 1, 2012 Description of the Complaint: The rear door wires have broken on both doors, losing all connectivity to the main power source. Then started working again in a short time period. I have had this issue for about a year, and have had it at 3 different dealerships each time they say that they can not seem to duplicate the problem and there is no code stored in the computer there for nothing done. The contact stated the manufacturer should issue an extended warranty or a recall for the malfunction. Dodge dealer indicated that the problem was in the truck's tipm which does not have a fuse for that portion of the trailer's lighting and burned out internally.
When driving at night sometimes when you switch the headlight from low beam to high beam they will completely go out or one side will go out. The latest is no left low beam. The dealer updated the software for the integrated program module but the contact felt that the integrated program module should have had a failure notification on the instrumental panel. This was erratic and there was no rhyme or reason why it was happening or what caused the problem. That would cause them to work for a while then they would go out again. This is a summertime issue which makes me have to find shade or park where the sun doesn't shine into the front of the car.
Complaint Number: 10325213 Incident Date: August 13, 2006 Date Added to File: April 12, 2010 Description of the Complaint: The contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 2500. The failure mileage was 57,500 and the current mileage was 60,000. My driver seat beat no longer buckles. Got truck back, and not radio just flashes between clock and channel 187. Then at other times while using the turn signals. I turned the truck off then back on and the windshield wipers started working again.
I have had to pull over alot and just wait for my windshield wipers to work again. Mechanic had to tear into engine to find the problem. The contact stated the tipm has malfunctioned causing every electrical component not to work. Suspect the tipm is going out. Moving the turn signal stalk to signal a left turn can result in no flashing of the left turn signal but improper flashing of the right turn signal.
There was no events leading up to the failure. I have a daytime running light module that I installed in 2007 which still operates both low beams at a reduced power, so the bulbs are both good. I went through the trailer and found all wiring to function correctly. The contact was driving in rainy weather when he discovered that the windshield wipers were inoperable. I recently tried to hook up a trailer to my parents truck. Also turn signal would blink opposite of where turning. The dealer told me that this was from hauling trailers with bad wiring.
Now I can not keep the battery charged, I have unlocked any extra lights I had added my remote start. This started happening over a month ago. When the high beams were activated, the windshield wipers would engage. Throughout the next few days this occurred muliple times and each time the blinkers would not shut off. We have replaced the battery and checked for drain on the battery. When I turned them on, they both would blink very fast. The situation continued like this about a week until the engine would not even shut down when the key was turned to the off position.
