Did this a couple times and then the car just stopped accelerating all together and the fastest I could go was 20mph and the check engine light came on. I did the initialization and surprise! I suspect the next generation may come through on that. I called the manufacturer and they would not honor the warranty even though I reported the symptoms when I was within the window. It would start out at a ratio of 2. Dangerous, I will never buy another Nissan as long as I live, I was the only owner and took care of it.
As time went on when I would step on the accelerator and the engine would rev up but the car would not accelerate. Service was still working and they had no idea what happened so they pushed the car back to the garage and gave me a loaner. Thank god I had some kitty litter hanging around the house. I own a 2007 Nissan maxima 3. But I definitely think you are on to something because u pretty much guessed that without me saying that. Needless to say I am angry about this. Thank you for the reply! Next, you copy all the numbers down, then do the initialization and return to the calibration screen and compare to see if the numbers had changed.
I am glad I did not pay someone to do this service. At first, I was wary of this claim. It often began , but then felt like it disengaged entirely into neutral. The Allen bolt was on there pretty good so I had to use the handle of my jack as a breaker bar. So I'm assuming its a coincidence but a part of me feels like its not.
It gives the car a boxier face, though the rear remains as bulbous as ever. We I picked up the car, it had an acceleration problem and struggled to get to 40 miles per hour. Checked again - it is just under the 2nd notch so everything is alright. Allow all of the fluid to drain, I left it to drain for about 15 min. Still waiting to hear back since that was this morning.
Pull the transmission dip stick out, wipe clean, insert back in but rotate 180 degrees and push all the way down. Corrosion in the rear hubs could be pushing the rear abs sensors out of alignment. The next morning I started browsing through all of the data in each module and noticed that, when cold, the engine temperature showed about 60°F while the intake air temp showed 98°F. I then brought it to Nissan and the diagnostic there I guess said a tire was low on air and the lights off now. Long story short, they now had to replace the transmission and it's been fine ever since; 1 year and 15,000 miles with no issues. I have owned other vehicles that had transmissions with over 250000 miles them still run fine. I have used it my Audi Quattro, now with 160k miles and it runs as new.
Changes include a fresh front end, an upgraded interior and several mechanical revisions that will appeal to those who value comfort over performance. Also standard are side-impact airbags for the front seats and side curtain airbags for both rows. I am a female and am feeling like they are giving me the run around and I would like a little knowledge about this problem so i could atleast understand what's going on. I even had a big 5 quart jug to drain in. Per the service manual specs, the step motor should have a range of -20 to 190 with a gear ratio of 2. Over the last few years I mentioned that the car whined when I accelerated on the highway, but they never recommended that I replace the transmission while it was under warranty 10 years or 120,000 miles.
Told by dealer that transmission is bad and the part is on back order. Once the bearing were replaced with Genuine Nissan bearing the car worked fine. When I took the car to my mechanic the car was running fine, even if he put a half quart of incorrect tranny fluid I highly doubt the vehicle would behave in such dramatic fashion right away. I put in 4 quarts, start the car, go through all the gears P, R, N D, 1 and back , check the level- it's at the 1st notch, put another quart in just for safe measure. I looked at the instructions on this org and pulled the Max up onto some ramps in my garage and got started. As long as you use 10W-30, you really can't go wrong. I put in 4 quarts, start the car, go through all the gears P, R, N D, 1 and back , check the level- it's at the 1st notch, put another quart in just for safe measure.
I turned around and told the mechanic that there was a problem and he said all he did was change the oil. My advice to those of you who are going to do this on your own, it isn't hard at all, but make sure you have a clean oil catch basin so you can catch this fluid. I brought the car to Nissan dealership and they acknowledged the problem, diagnosed it as an internnal transmission problem, and since its under factory warranty, put a new transmission in it at no cost to me. Car shoppers who want midsize performance should save some scratch and get the V-6 Altima. I took it a Nissan dealership and they informed me the transmission was failing. A bit of information I left out that might be helpful. The computer gets inputs from sensors on each of the four wheels, so if a wheel speed sensor is bad, the car gets confused.
Once at this speed, I attempt to accelerate and all that happens is the rpms rev way up but it seems to be stuck at 40mph. I looked at the instructions on this org and pulled the Max up onto some ramps in my garage and got started. After arrival a service writer at your location called to inform me that the transmission fluid was not touching the dipstick. I turned around and brought it back and explained this to them. Came up with 2 error codes for the solenoid and another I forget. My shirt, arms, and and concrete still got fluid on them. Since there are no gear changes as in a traditional type transmission, and it only has two variable pulleys that change diameter as the stepper motor moves them on a kind of fulcrum, there is no need to relearn volumes of clutches, or shift timing.
The rear coils are not under anything, but are harder to ge … t to with all the other stuff back there. We performed routine maintenance on this vehicle as Nissan standards. But the rpms are very high. Do you believe that changing the rear wheel bearing may have caused some sensors to malfunction and cause the vehicle to perform in this manner? I am a female and am feeling like they are giving me the run around and I would like a little knowledge about this problem so i could atleast understand what's going on. Ending up trading in the car and buying a more reliable Honda instead.
