Hi I am new to nick but this sounds like an issue that I am experiencing right now. Shortly after, the transmission was acting up and the heater wasn't working. First the motor problem,now this. I brought my first car a 2007 Nissan Xterra from avondale Nissan in phoenix arizona brand new which is now paid off for. I had a noise issue that never seem to want to go away and had to end up replacing new rear end axle among other things. Took the Xterra back to the dealership for the third time and they said they need to open the real axle and see what they find.

The Drive-shaft Pulley Broke Which Broke A Belt That Disabled power-steering And Almost Caused An Accident When Steering Became Very Difficult. Am I better off getting a used differential from a junkyard or something? The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. Vehicle was not using Cruise Control. The good news is that these days most bearings are sealed.
The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection and the failure was located at the radiator cooler unit, which was determined to be fractured and causing coolant to penetrate the transmission. If its a differential isuse, could this be the reason for the problem worsening? These vehicles may have been equipped with front wheel hubs that may not meet the design hardness specifications. After-market warranty is trying to dis-allow claim, citing Nissan's knowledge of this design flaw. I'm having an issue with Nissan not willing to cover what's clearly their problem to begin with. This is not right as Nissan knew this was an issue with these vehicles because of a poor design on there part. But then he got underneath the truck and asked me to do it again while he could be listening and watching. I am going to take them to court.
Now I'm forced to pay for a radiator and for the tranny to be rebuild plus rental car price. I thought perhaps the u-joint, but i greased them up and they all seemed nice and tight. I told them it only happens when on the pedal between 60-72 mph. I will never buy another Nissan. However, when I drove it 40 miles I heard a horrible grinding sounding noise coming from the passenger side differential which I had not heard from before. They serve the very important purpose of helping the wheel to turn smoothly on the axle.
When you park the vehicle you want to keep the brake pressed and then pull the parking brake as hard as you can, even on the steepest incline it shouldn't budge after you let off the brake pedal. But what I understand now is that its only a stress on the shafts, mounts, suspension, etc?? What would have costed you pennies, is costing us thousands at a dealer. The Failure Mileage Was 25,160 And The Current Mileage Was 25,360. I look forward to taking full advantage of this powerful suv. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The Xterra is rugged and reliable.
No why wasn't that working? Said they will not cover it cause its over 100000 miles now. Vehicle was using Cruise Control. Vehicle was not using Cruise Control. While driving it in snow, ice, wet roads or simply stopping quickly, I hear a horrible grinding noise from the front end. One note: So far my gas has averaged 17+, no higher, but then, I may push over the optimum, which may be 55? Said they will not cover it cause its over 100000 miles now.
Still wouldn't start,they told me I needed a new transmission for intermix problem. Not a click, not a crank. I inquired if this part was a deflect issue or a national campaign for deflected car parts, and was told no. And it seems like its coming from the rear end and I feel a little grind in the drive shaft as well, towards the rear. While driving at 45 mph, there was a grinding noise coming from the front of the vehicle. It's not the consumer's problem that they installed faulty components in their cars and trucks, that caused the major malfunctions.
It is easy to pack, unpack, load rocks into and doesn't notice the extra weight. Price for new transmission and radiator 5000 dollars. The Contact Called The Dealer Who Stated That The Transmission And Driveshaft Needed To Be Replaced. Any help, advice, suggestion would be helpful and appreciated. But I am wondering what you guys think. Now 1 Week Without Vehicle, No Contact With Service Advisor In 2 Days.
