This is a known issue and they have admitted to it being a problem, yet they aren't willing to foot the bill to fix it back to the condition it was prior to this issue. I am going to have to pay to get this fixed. Dealer indicated that there are frequent problems with power steering failure on the acadia. They need to have a recall on these vehicles because our children ride with us and they are unsafe especially now that her jeans are burned and she has a small pink spot from the heated seat. Within a week pass the warranty it started. This is crazy we just paid to have the steering rack replaced and a portion of the transmission replacement and now the steering pump.

The immediate loss of power steering required me to use all of my arm strength to manually turn the wheel, forcing me to make an extremely wide turn onto a side street.
