Replaced entire wiring harness with new one, and added extra conduit to harness to prevent wires rubbing against intake manifold and shorting again. Vehicle towed to nearest Chrysler dealer. As I drove away from the dealership, the same smell and smoking occurred. The thermostat has been replaced and the car only has 90k miles. I have had to replace my radiator twice with the last 6 years as if something is rusting parts underneath. I reported it to Chrysler but they said airbags don't go off when you 'drive through an animal'.

When I stopped the truck and lifted the hood the steam cloud burned my face. It was standing in the road after a curve. They told me that seems to be the case with many of the town and country vans that come in there. Unknown to me, it was losing anti freeze also. I've known people who have hit deer with less damage and their airbags did go off.
He never had time to hit the break but stopped instantly. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. Again, after researching with many shops, was told that it appears the same issues are taking place with this model van. When the belt comes off, there is no power steering, the radiator overheats, and the alternator isn't charging. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 149,000.
I took the vehicle to pep boys where it was determined that the rear heater hose assembly needed to be replace. Also there is a lot of rust underneath. I drive 7 miles to work. The stability control is always going on even after being repaired and repairing any possible causes. It was a brand new belt. . This new radiator supports a wide range of domestic and import vehicles! Aftet warranty expired, thermostat overheated, causing a fire. There is no relay in the distribution box. It hit head on and then flew up into the windshield. Owner said vehicle has been a constant problem since purchasing it.
I took it to local mechanic and they said I better fix it then. All Replacement brand items are backed by 1-year, unlimited-mileage warranty. We find as we are pulled to the side of the road that the serpentine belt has come off. My husband and son get it back on and it comes off again. The dealership did not take responsibility for this.
The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the radiator was leaking and needed to be replaced. The alternator was replaced, the battery was replaced, the radiator was repaired with the thought that was an issue. Had to replace radiator and hoses. The overheating did some damage. There is a 40 amp fusible link, however, in that box. I don't feel safe in this vehicle. Repl fuse and started okay, but did wiggle tests on pcm harness and vehicle stalled again.
If you have a viscous fan hub attached to the fan then it will not be working at high speed as there will be enough air flowing through the radiator to keep things cool. Have to restart the gas adding situation every couple of minutes. Not sure as to how it is happening. Found blown fuse f343 circuit. This has happened 4 times this past year alone and has cost me in terms of towing and service.
