Returned a second time to have issue resolved. In cases where Chrysler makes major changes, the following-year model is a better choice, as the kinks have been worked out. None of the problems affected overall safety, but were a frustrating nuisance. Problem could not be replicated by dealer after first occurrence. Dealer fix it today with a computer software update. Worst car i ever had. I just pulled the fuse this morning and everything works fine now.
Pulling the fuse didn't work, but cleaning the negative battery terminal did. The owner notification letter was issued and the remedy campaign launched on on December 31, 2014. This may be only a temp. My husband is so proud of me for fixing the car. The back hatch kept closing down on him he thought it was going to pin him in so he put his arm over his head to try and stop the hatch from pushing down on him and only when he pushed up so hard that is snapped the arm off the back hatch did it stop and bounce back up. The dealership have worked on the car 4 times replacing molding and other parts and the problem still exists.
I am interested to hear that so many people have had this problem. Finally I left them for good. Passenger door fixed but, driver side started making noise after about one month. Owners could take their minivans to any Chrysler dealer and receive the recommended repair. If the door slows down at a certain point during a power close, the system incorrectly interprets this as an obstruction and reverses the door. Two previous notifications to the dealership were of no help. The problem occurs when the user attempts to close the door using the power mechanism.

On another occasion, the rear hatch would not close. The failure mileage was unavailable. Cleaned the sensors and still malfunctioned. Yesterday all the locks stopped and the fuse trick would not work. Manually, I have no trouble opening or closing it. There's a loud rattle we can not locate near the rear liftgate.
The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. For powered doors that no longer close automatically, motor repair is often necessary, but owners can first inspect the door's track for any damage or objects. As someone mentioned before I would probably have to unlock it with pliers. The current mileage is 54,669 and failure mileage was 52,000. Very difficult to replace lock module. I was temped to take it apart and try to repair it myself, but as the parts were under warranty I have the extended 85,000 mile , I opted to have the professionals handle it.
Have returned and written it up same when getting oil changes but never has changed. Most cases like this in in both of mine it is due to the repetitive use of that door, and the realitive inflexibility of the wire harness. Left hub bearing making noise and was replaced but still had noise. The contact sustained injury to the nose and forehead, and suffered severe headaches. Would take it to the dealer, but it would work then. The results of the diagnostic test were unknown.
Anytime there is moisture in the air and the temperature is below freezing, neither sliding door is able to be opened. It kept moving and mashed their hands between the moving door and door frame. Obviously in this case the obstruction detection threshold is overly sensitive. Once I did that, I noticed my door locks began working and my van fired right up! The vehicle was taken to a dealer. Maybe that is a bit much to say but I have driven and rode in other makes of vehicles and thet sure don't sound like mine does.
