Date given was about the towing date. I am not mechanically competent to adequately describe the problems. They will only go back on after cutting off the car and restarting. It clicks to turn the engine over and it cuts off right away. I have had it to the dealer multiple times and they claim no knowledge of the problem. I like the car and wonder if Hyundai will adress these issues my car only has 29 thousand miles and its alarming to have these issues. I have an appointment Monday to see if they will fix I am going to show tr them all that you have said as well and call and see if Hyundai has a fix for any of this yet.
Same problem like u all are having. Had car towed to shop. They replaced the shifter, saying it was binding. Now they won't do anything at all. Hyundai's number for the recall is 160.
Even with a new transmission installed, it still is not fixed. And my dealership gave me a bit of a problem after I had the steering wheel replaced twice for coming apart. They disassembled the car and tested each antenna and all of them were just fine. I believe the problem is with the computer software and dealers have now fix for it. Repaired and failed second time.
On the other hand, complaints include noticeable road noise and inhibited rear-seat access due to the low roof line. Attempting to change the volume should not activate my phone and call someone without my permission. The screen that displays backing up went blue for about 3 weeks each time car is put in reverse. While my car was there they also fixed a seatbelt recall which my seat belt still gets stuck and I have to stick something in it to pull the red part up so it will click.
The replacement cruise steering wheel switches were replaced three times. I will never buy another Hyundai. This is why I did not by a Hyundai again when I bought another car in 2016. And I have told numerous people what a wonderful vehicle it is. The dealer tells me it's not a drive train component because it's not the transmission, it's the clutch master slave cylinder.
Mine is a stick shift, so maybe the clutch sensor? This happened a half dozen times until they finally agreed out of the goodness of their hearts to replace the battery. This car has a weird if not defective electrical system, bad lightbulbs, or some combination of the above. Screen freezes and shows programs that failed. Over the past 6 months the push button has started to have issues every once in a while. The dealership can't figure it out so they voided my warranty claiming lack of maintenance due to sludge they found in the oil pan 4000 miles after they changed the oil at the dealership. The dealer could not diagnose a failure and recommended that the battery be changed.
