It is soon apparent that Count Olaf only cares about the children for their large inheritance. I'm not too well informed on the subject, but from what I understand, beards and hats are important parts of the group's style of dress. When something has that much anticipation it can almost only disappoint. Then right as he show seems to be about the cut to credits, it goes back to Olaf who cuts the cords and sends Klaus and Violet hurtling down the mountain. Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes, Presley Smith, and K. Jim Carrey swallows huge chunks of scenery in his portrayal of Count Olaf, one of the most despicable villains to grace the silver screen in a while. Todd Freeman round out the cast.
