Apr 15, 2010 Good Day, Sounds like your fuel cap needs to be replaced, there is a rubber seal in there to which keeps fuel pressure up, when this seal goes bad you get a drop in pressure and your engine light will come on. That should be enough to reset the brains of the car. I've always ran 93 octane in the car since I bought it used. The rubber around the cap becomes to woren out and fumes leak out. This pressurization enables the fuel pump to gather gasoline in the system to operate smoothly. Might just be all it needs.
Moisture inside the gas tank can cause sediment, rust, or corrosion inside the fuel tank. If you go to a parts store and buy a new cap the light will go out and the problem will end. I can confirm that this was a software glitch most likely and the message disappeared after driving for a bit. Replace the cap with a new one. It doesnt happen always, reminds of when you would get bad gas. If this is not an option disconnect the negative battery cable for a minute. Took the car to my mechanic.

It's weird that it is fuel related which could be a pressure issue fuel pump combined with injector problem. Pulled the coil pack and the spark plug was just a hair loose I was able to hand loose it with a bit of force. It has also started throwing an error pertaining to the gas cap Tighten Fuel Cap.
