The show used to be of rich quality and had amazingly funny storytelling and arcs in the seasons. I feel as though Seth Mcfarlene cannot balance both shows and switches back and forth between the two just to keep each of afloat. Family Guy's new season s have been especially well written. The ending here is really a triumph all around where it turns out that The 200 is real with Roger being responsible for everything. As Stan embarks on his journey to find his family he ends up being accompanied by a number of familiar faces in the process. American dad always felt more like the original 3 seasons of family guy with bit of south park and futurama thrown in. Great for multiple viewings to truly aperciate season 11 dark and twisted humor. In a flashback, Stan, Klaus and Hayley go fishing and get into an argument instead of spending time together.
He regrets not giving his family a proper goodbye and believes they are dead and begs to be killed. The atmosphere achieved here is completely on point, as it makes a meal of all of this hopelessness not even the Pizza Overlord is safe from annihilation. The Two Hundred Stan finds himself trapped in a world he never made. Last but not least, Klaus, the Smith's wisecracking talking fish well, after he was removed from his body who is secretly in love with Francine. Felt like it was the old American Dad shining through.
Although he's not Stan's dream son, he always makes him proud. The two groups rush toward each other, but none are friendly to the Smiths. American Dad no doubt deserves to be added to this prestigious list, somehow clawing its way to twelve seasons, and even surviving a network change in the process. Due to Stan's nagging to keep up, Steve becomes injured throughout the course, ending in his leg being broken and spending his time knitting doilies. When Greg is attacked on the train by a savage survivor, Roger tosses Stan out the train but Greg joins them again.
The amount of those that have accomplished such a feat that are animated shows are an even more select group, at that. Roger finds Francine's locket just as Lewis chops off Greg's other leg. With American Dad slowly refining and perfecting its distinct sense of humor in a way that would make it the strongest animated program on television for a while seasons five and eight are truly flawless, guys. Stan mentions that his tattoo is a reminder of that event. Season 11 is better than 12 but both seasons way better than season 10. His wife Francine is your average house wife.
This is not a show that messes around, so clearly expectations for their 200 thepisode would be just as lofty. Seeing how each of these tattoos relate to family members works well enough, and the trajectory of this separation making Stan want to be a better person in the process also tracks. Not many television programs get to see the production of 200 episodes. Some great new identities for roger and even better new characters like the crazy german doctor and his patient in roots. In spite of Roger not contributing much to helping Stan find his family, a reunion still ends up happening with the Smith family coming to their aid.
I hope there will be many more seasons to come!! Earlier seasons are comedy gold, 5-stars all the way! From this point on the episodes maintains this level of ridiculous incredulity with Jeff and a giant fire-breathing Klaus acting as a giant exclamation point to it all. You know this show is going down hill quick when Family Guy's new season is amazing. She juggles Stan and the kids while keeping a sound mind. Later Stan finds himself paired with a legless Greg as they head to the sanctuary of the New Haven not to be confused with New Haven, Connecticut, which is not safe. Klaus used to annoy me but he's gotten better over the years and is at his best this season. But when the cart rolls away and almost goes over a cliff, both Steve and Hayley are unable to stop it. They hop a flaming train to avoid a pack of wild dogs, thinking they lost Greg who manages to haul himself aboard.
. Roger is completely nuts in this season which makes for the greatest american dad episodes. I honestly feel like American Dad is only good when Family Guy is bad and vice versa, I wish they spent equal amounts of time on both shows. Francine adds her muscle from hauling trash cans and pulls it back from the cliff edge. She determinedly tries to chase down the trash truck but loses all of the trash in the process. If rodger's your fav than you'll love season 11. Meanwhile, a mysterious element known as -The Two Hundred- has reigned terror on the town and separated Stan from his family.
