I purcahed notebooky in Czech, my notebook in link. I'm thinking the specific password is created with the date on my laptop which is 2010-05. This was the only option in Windows 7. Does anybody know a working backdoor password or know of any way to reset it? I not have the equipment and tools in the Czech Republic, to fix my laptop. If your customers have a problem and you have a solution, help them, don't lie to them! But the keyboard and mouse work fine when Windows 8. I spoke to the previous owner who stated that he had taken the cmos battery out of the mother board for like 9 hours and replaced it and it still showed that it was locked with a password. So to drain the board disconnect the battery and hold down the power button for a few minutes then try it and see if it worked if it didn't,disconnect the battery again and leave the battery disconnected for several days till all residual power is drawn off when you think you have all the residual power drained away plug in and try again. I have researched many many hourse but i have not found the right solution as of yet.
Ok, so i sort of got it to start, but the bios dump i found is for asus x501a1, i used mmtool to decode it. The instructions in the link I placed above may work for Windows 8, but Microsoft decided to hide it under a different path in Windows 8. I have a lot of Asus products, multiple computers over the years, and have been, and am, very satisfied with all of them. The previous owner was unable to remember the bios password thus its locked for me. Anyway, thanks to where I first saw the solution! Do you know if these boards have the jumpers? Im sure its probably a common concern that happens often. Our book will give you the knowledge to run your site on a speedy, scalable and secure server! Seems im screwed i guess : thanks for the attempt though. I take full responsibility for what happens to my machine. Its clear that the bios image file does not contain all the info so i need to extract it from my chip dump and merge it somehow to the bin file from asus. All with the separate names you provided.

Got the same problem, only my bios wont accept enabling cms. I had written down the Windows 8. Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium installed successfully to this laptop.

I think this has the latest bios flash but im not sure. But I'm not in the Czech Republic, I am here in Serbia, I have a problem of border police, I was not allowed to cross the border in the Czech Republic, I not have to wait 24 days to release me. You are looking for a jumper that usually has three pins and one plug that covers two of the pins. I can tab across to boot, security etc, though everything is untouchable.

I was going to check to see if their was an updated bios and try to flash it, in hopes that it will set everything to default.
