The time has come for the soon-to-be complete band to be named and nothing sticks out until Chiba hears Beck's barking and suggests the name Beck for the band, which is final choice. Tanaka is well known by the people around him for his solitary lifestyle and timid nature. It stars as Koyuki, as Ryusuke, as Chiba, as Saku and as Taira. Maho invites Koyuki to her friend's party but Yoshito just cannot accept him. Slowly becoming interested in the glamour of western rock culture, Koyuki decides to start playing the guitar while helping Ray achieve his dream of leading the ultimate rock band.
After talking to Chiba and Taira and getting them to join, Saku finally makes his way back to town to join up with the others and the band is finally back together. The story focuses on the trials and tribulations of their band named Beck, and Koyuki's relationships with its members, in particular Ryusuke and his 14-year-old half-sister Maho. Beautiful and fairly popular, Koyuki often has a hard time approaching her romantically. Their album and music video do well both in Japan and England, earning them numerous magazine articles in both countries. The following day Koyuki goes on a date with Maho and share a special moment afterwards.
He reunites with Ryusuke a year later, and begins to rehearse with Beck. A , and a which were both played by Koyuki. With things somewhat back to normal with Maho, Koyuki can now focus on recording the album and the situation will only tougher from there on. They released the first fourteen volumes simultaneously on July 5. But after several bad performances, they are about to get kicked off the tour before reuniting with Ryusuke in Seattle. Beck is allowed to perform at the Marquee's evening show as Hitode's support, because the manager really liked Koyuki's singing. He complies, but quickly returns to play with the band. With the album hugely successful worldwide, they tour Japan and America extensively, and the series then ends with Beck headlining the main stage at Grateful Sound 9. Ryusuke gets the American version of the band's record, prompting the sudden arrival of Leon Sykes. Tanaka finds it difficult to survive without the band.
Meanwhile Maho is out returning a video when she runs into Izumi, who wants to have a little chat. The two share an intimate moment afterwards while singing that same Dying Breed they were singing earlier. Will he be able to overcome his fears and provide a performance worthy of DyBre? Hyoudou is now in his class and plans to make things tougher for him. Though Ryuusuke is still not with them, they decide to take on the tour and set off to play in America. He realizes he is late for his lessons with Saitou and immediately goes to Saitou's house with Maho.
Tanaka has misunderstandings with Maho, Ryusuke's step sister. A soundtrack to the live-action movie was released in 2010. Only 12 volumes were published. Droves of people are appearing at the third stage after hearing of the great show being put on by Beck. Later on they go to see Beck perform live and Beck may already be in some trouble because of the drummer. Beck follows the group's struggles and successes as they spread their fame across Japan.

Koyuki declines an offer from a record label to record a solo album, Chiba becomes a ramen chef, Ryuusuke disappears completely from his enemies and friends, Taira joins a new band, and Saku is moving away in a few months. He is easily the most volatile member of Beck, never shying away from a fight or hiding his feelings during dire situations.
The next day, he's invited to a group date by his childhood friend to go bowling and eat. There's a lot riding on how well they perform not just for Koyuki but the whole band. After hanging out with Ryusuke and seeing him play with his former band, Koyuki slowly becomes interested in Western rock music. At school Hiromi happens to be really enthusiastic about learning to play the guitar. This original dub was at one point available from MuchMusic's website for Canadian users, however, was removed when they stopped airing the show. Ryusuke gets very angry and tells Tanaka never to talk to him again.
