There are a few codes too. I had never towed anything before. The only drawback, at least for our extended seven passenger Trailblazer, is rear visibility. Today couldn't put it into reverse nor could it drive itself onto the flatbed tow truck. They said I'd have to pay for diagnostics but the rest would be covered. Here is a sample of code discription.

I have a 2004 Explorer with over 120K and no issues whatsoever. My stomach sunk, because we were supposed to leave today and a Trailblazer wouldn't be big enough. I think most part stores can do this and for free. Called roadside repair, but by the time they got there, engine had cooled a bit and car was able to go into gear. Then the car would not go into park. Absolutely love the drive train and super strong chassis. I drive the truck up a hill and it holds the gear too long. Close to end of pad life sure, but no scoring of rotors or anything. Because I also had a few similar problems with my previous vehicle a '92 Blazer.
They rotated, balanced and aligned and determined it wasn't a tire problem and was indeed a transmission issue. The body of the truck is extremely flimsy and weak. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones since my Trailblazer has over 100K. They may not be much better but at least I didn't have to bail them out with my tax dollars and then turn around and spend more to replace their poor quality equipment. The transmission went after 55000 miles. So I got it in Feb.
Unfortunately for frustrated owners, no recall has been announced. It depends there are 3 speed sensors 1 on each front wheel and 1 on the output shaft of the transmission. It also has a slight advantage over the Ford Explorer V-6, which produced 254 ft-lbs of torque at 3,700 rpm. We were introduced to the Trail Blazer in 2004 when we rented one to drive for our family vacation. Based on the comfort, size, versatility and economy, I would definitely buy another. General Comments: Extremely comfortable ride and handling, very roomy and comfortable seating. If the check engine light is on also for the speed sensor, then I would accept this. First let me start by saying my husband hates Chevy but I wanted a Trailblazer. He now vows he will never buy another one again, and he has had at least 6 or 7 full and small Blazers since the early 70's. Water pump went and had to be replaced. It was a scary situation I had on the high way with my power steering and rack and pinion going completely out. Since then my 4wd has gone out and now waiting on a new transfer case.
