When that oil heats up and thins out, it can start finding its way out of these worn seals and valves, causing a lack of pressure when applying a clutch. When those seals start to wear, transmission fluid can escape, lowering the pressure. I know its a long list of issues, but if you take care of your tranny every 80-100kmls it pays for itself pretty good.

Tooling, etc will all favor a reman. But this tranny has very serious and very important weak spots you have to take care of: -First thing first check tranny temperatures.
If the oil were just shot into that chamber all at once, the clutch pack would apply with a harsh thud and make for a very unpleasant driving experience. I had tried to work a price with bmwna and dealer, but after several weeks of back and forth neither of them would budge saying car is way out of warranty. In the end they suggested to replace the converter and the valve body and see what happens. I will let the vehicle roll when putting it into park and it engages. I was having trouble with the getting it off. I have all other operations P R N and they work fine. Where can I pick one up? Sitting in the driveway, in Park the gear shifter in the cabin will click occasionally as if trying to shift into gear in Drive with the brake on the car will attempt to shift just about every 2 seconds like a clock.
As i posted further down also, the car is having clutch problems I believe, the transmission slips hard almost in any gear, and jumps and catches gear. If the level is low enough, the transmission might struggle to get enough fluid to apply the clutches, hence the slipping. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! The car slips in almost every gear during hard acceleration, which leads me to believe that the clutch plate is ruined. But as long as the transmission fluid is cold the tranny goes into failsafe mode when it tries to gear up from 1st to 2nd gear. Dealer says software is ok and recomends trans replacement. Works like new; back to the screamer I knew it as.
