As for the practical effects in the film, those were done wonderfully, with the exception of a chopped off foot that looked like a rubber chew toy for a dog.
Film grain is fine and organic. Dialogue is crisp and clear and the music, both licensed songs and original score, come through loud and clear. John Flynn is mostly remembered for a series of action films throughout the 1970s and 80s, most notably the Sylvester Stallone film Lock Up 1989 and the Seven Seagal film Out for Justice 1991. That being said, this is a nice interview with the composer who talks about his craft and his take on the film. My vhs is getting worn.
Frank Langella plays a Detective investigating the neighborhood murders. I made the decision to leave for a bunch of different reasons. To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement because I absolutely loved this film. Ryder also talks about having to act through all the make-up they put him in and his friendship with Furlong. Not having seen the film for about twenty years, I picked up the new Scream Factory blu-ray and was ready to be taken away by the film. He's only part of the game, and can't really do anything to Michael. An avid haunt fan, Shannon spends the entire year visiting haunts and immersive experiences throughout the Southern California area and hopes to one day design her own haunted attraction.
