Use the wire brush to clean the contact points were the pads were. Now pull out the pads and remove the slides. If the brake pads are squealing or grinding, they may have worn down to the backing plate, which can cause damage to the rotor. The caliper is not stuck, you need a special tool to rotate the piston of the brake caliper and depress it down. Listen for that while you're driving and see if you hear anything.

Place the jack stand under the car in a safe location. If your c-clamp fit skip this step: Take your large flat head screw driver and place it into the hole shown in the image. This should create some space between the pads and the rotor. Install the new pads using the grease or shims included with them. I prefer and try to use nothing but Wagner ThermoQuiet Ceramic Disc Brake Pad. I think this is total bs. Once you have the hub off, you will have a front and rear brake shoe attached.
Be sure to place the bolts in the container. Plus you won't be picking grease out of the underside of your finger nails days later. Follow same instructions for other side. I also had to use a pair of channel lock to start screwing in the caliper. I have never had any complaints. Brake pads that wear unevenly may indicate a problem with your brake caliper or guide pins.
Addendum There is no Allen key or bolt to undo unlike a Saab 9000. Think of it as insurance you don't want to re-due this job in a few months, because of a shake when you hit the brakes, Right?. Jack up the rear end and place jack stands under the frame. I have addressed this issue to no avail from the dealer I bought the car from, as well as with Chevrolet.
