This creates one of the most intimate and oppressive sci-fi horrors. Twice, I gasped for air. I mean what would you do if your crawling in tunnels Pun intended with an Alien on your heels, a desire to live, and with a mission that can save all of humanity. During the whole movie you start coming up with all these questions and you wanted to get to the answer, well that proofs how captivating this movie is. Fighting exhaustion, claustrophobia, and a bloodthirsty creature that is immune to their bullets, the team must crawl deeper through the quickly shrinking subterranean tunnels. The music is minimal, and oftentimes non-existent, and its absence only adds to the oppressive feeling. It was the same tube over and over, and sometimes it had dirt in it. I've watched literally hundreds of low budget horror and sci-fi movies and there's absolutely no excuse for making a movie where we are literally watching someone crawl through a culvert the entire time.

Earth as we know it is gone. Then again, I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy this movie. They squeezed everything they could out of the money they had and came up with an entertaining film. The cylindrical tunnels seem never to end and keep becoming smaller in size, making it very difficult to crawl inside them. You just can't take your eyes off of it, because you are afraid you may miss something. I'm thinking the whole time how incredibly fit the protagonist is and boy do I need get off the couch.
I watch indie films like these with no judgement just purely for what they are doing on a limited budget and this is one of my favs this year for the small market film world. I feel they're not really giving it a chance. A virus has destroyed the planet and rendered all its women infertile, all but one. Is it some kind of ventilation duct or maintenance shaft? And i didn't know aliens used padlocks? This is just as bad as it gets. For it's audience to be so sucked into their movie, that you feel their Angst and Anxiety? All at the top of their individual fields, the team tasked with protecting and delivering the young woman known only as The Package is made up of six members: Mic, the leader of the unit; Big Guy, an explosives expert with a knack for mountain climbing; Sniper, a crack- shot Scotsman; Snoop, experienced in Technology and Telecommunication; Doc, a Harvard Medical Professional; and Tank, a tough-as-nails, no nonsense career soldier and the only female of the team.
Crawl or die is one of the worst films I have ever sat through. The soldiers comprising the squad are Tank, Doc, Snoop, Sniper, Mic, Big Guy, and Thumper. If you don't mind low-budget and you enjoy sci-fi horror, then you might enjoy this. This is one of those films I will tell friends about when they ask me for a under the radar film to watch. Just as she prepares to blow herself up along with the alien, a rescue team arrives and pulls her out of the hole. I ended up online, searching through my list of to-watch horror movies, which probably doesn't bode well. Sure the story is a simple one, but it doesn't matter - in the end - you find yourself so sucked in by what's going on and what the characters are going through simply based on the acting ability and the circumstance.

The main protagonist is a poor copy of Tank Girl and seems to think that simply curling your lip is an accurate portrayal of being tough. However, I think it was a little repetitious with all the crawling they did. Nicole Alonso did a very good job as the kick-ass, tough girl marine or whatever part of the military she was in. Their mission briefing takes place in a room that suspiciously resembles the wings of an unfinished soundstage with exposed 2x4 beams and circular ducts on raised supports that are almost certainly the same ones filmed later for interior tunnel sequences.
The team soon learns — the real horror is not the unstoppable force chasing them, but the ever shrinking tunnel itself. And there were only 2 possible outcomes that were blindingly obvious. The whole thing is edited together in such a way that you haven't got a clue what's going on. I read the top few reviews and gave this mess a shot. A woman, crawling through pipes, again and again, is not scary to me. To do so, they must go underground into the unknown, and that's the least of their worries.
