The power button on the hinge looks like it may have been victim of excessive pressure. Check them and replace the faulty one. Probably you have a Power button failure. I had this problem this morning. I can order one on ebay, but I don't want to be buying parts when I'm not confident it's going to fix the problem. After reading the above posts, I am going to take a battery out of another 7547 and swap and see what behavior I get. Up to now I have had no problems with it, but it now won't power up. I was sure that this was the problem, so I ripped the wires off and tried to manually start it by touching the wires. I find it rather annoying that if a battery fails and it was only 14 months old - but outside warranty! With reguards to the power button, there is no light to indicate that the machine is on and I can't seem to find any notification light indicating that the machine is in sleep mode.
