The Spring 2019 Anime Preview Guide returns with impressions of this season's new English dubs! I can't tell you how much I used to wish that I'd sudde. This week, Nick and Andy discuss whether this new story from. The second half of Hiromu Arakawa's fantasy saga comes to Blu-ray in this special edition boxset. For the first two films, the story was uncharacteristically vague and lackadaisical, as Tri allowed fans to just wallow in the nostalgia of the moment. As the feelings of each of them intertwine, they arrive at a certain determination. All this pathos and mystery is executed with production values significantly improved from the first and second movies, but that's probably because Kokuhaku contains even less action than either of its predecessors. It somehow ends on an even more punishing cliffhanger than the previous film did, so if you've been holding out on giving a shot, now's the perfect time to catch up.
Taichi and friends can't hide how disturbing it was that something suddenly went wrong with Meicoomon, causing her to destroy Leomon and disappear beyond the distortion. . A tearful Meicoomon appears and disappears again. Meanwhile in the real world, Nishijima receives word that Himekawa has gone missing.
Everyone's childhood changes and even dies a little as they age, forcing even frozen memories to take on new perspectives. And when in the world did it occur? Theron Martin has the details. While Sora normally thinks of others even before herself, she now has distrust in her heart. Yes, it was looking like an unfathomably slow news week, and then Paramount decided to drop a huge steaming turd upon the internet for everyone to gape in ho. As he investigates, he determines that there's been some hidden agenda behind her behavior up to this point. It differs from most isekai titles in that both of its leads are full-grown adults, but otherwise it gives every impression up. They've already grown up a lot, and as their relationships toward their partners change from playmates to parents, it'll be fascinating to see where this introspective final chapter in Adventure takes them. Unfortunately for the Digidestined, that childhood is represented by their Digimon, and what better way to drive a stake right through the audience's hearts than by making the most childlike partner, Patamon, the first victim of a deadly infection? With Gennai, the Dark Masters, a primordial plane not unlike the Dark Ocean, and maybe even the Original Digidestined coming into play, Tri is taking the Digimon anime back to its roots so fans can rewind their brains back to when the Digital World was packed with bizarre undiscovered possibilities.
