The contact shut off the engine and when restarted, the vehicle operated as normal. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled and the electronic throttle control light illuminated. It does not matter what time of day, if the heater is on or off, it just happens. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, where they were yet to diagnose or repair the failure. I was told that the battery had shorted itself. If just a wiring problem, carbon on the throttle or just needs a reset, it could be only 1 hr. Ive been thru the fuse boxes several times now and cant see any loose or blown fuses or wires.

One of the wires connected to fuel pump burnt through the housing. Whenever the contact drove 15 mph the warning light would illuminate causing the vehicle to stall. This is a very serious problem and areplacement of the transmission will be required if this conditionis not attended to right away. The manufacturer and dealer were not notified of the failure.
Eventually the throttle control light will illuminate but will eventually go off. At that point, firmly grip your taillight housing, and pull straight back: Don't try to wiggle it out, and don't try to lift it to one side or the other like a trunk or door. I turned off the car and turned it back on after about 15 minutes and the car seemed fine and I was able to get home. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000. The indicator light is for electronic throttle control and the part replaced is the intake manifold.

I started the car last week and the idle was miserable so figured the throttle body had gone. I have been told be several people that it isn't a fuse issue. Apparently this is a common issue.
The vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic who advised that the alternator needed to be replaced. When it was replaced it stayed on for about 3 or 4 days and then went back to normal. The approximate failure mileage was 67,000. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. I had to stop in the middle of the road and turn it off for several minutes before it would start again. Then by the time I made it off the highway, the light stayed flashing all the time. Turn off those warning lamps for good! Bulb replaced without any affect.
