Downers were the poor gas mileage, a cheap-looking plastic interior, and the difficulty in accessing the rear seat since it is only a 2-door truck. It still runs and drives. It is comparable to original manufacturer's standards to ensure premium quality and consistent operation. I did a little trouble shooting of my own and pulled the speed sensor of the transfer case and it looks fine. The only major change for the 1996 Dodge Dakota was a revamped base engine, which always seemed too weak for a pickup of this size.

Its a great truck i drove it every day until the tranny went. Is there anyway to repost? I checked connections and fuses and all look fine. I accidentally deleted this post. Has two spotlights on a rack in the bed and a light bar on the grille guard both are really bright. It is a 1 owner with low miles for the year. Just changed the oil in it last week with some oil treatment. Then I tried the 4x4 and it didnt work either, it worked before the speedometer quit. Not many complaints from drivers.
