This is important to me as I find Kodi to be a far better front end, way more configurable. Plex gets all of it, Emby not so much. It gives you access to all the top basics like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, YouTube, Vudu, and it gives you access to many other channels that I would consider essential. I don't need to download a 15gb 2160p file to watch on my phone, 720p is fine on the small display. They transferred me to Vizio and Vizio says they need to send out a technician to fix the power issue.
Doing so will open the app's page. Most visible to the left of the center of the frame and then top half of the right side as-well. I know I am comparing two test builds, but what Emby has to offer for future possibility is so much more, and its better right now for me. This option should be in the middle of your app's page. I tried with two different servers just to rule out my main server being the issue. Currently my torrent queue is 2000.
But yah i would be interested. First of all any user installing Plex on their device and streaming from your server will be streaming from the default remote bitrate which I think is 4 Mbps. If the tech sees the top half going dark he would open up a ticket at that time. Heck even the backup and restore plug-in is locked behind the paywall. So, I ran maybe 40 videos through Cast and MediaInfo trying to identify specific x264 characteristics present in the most glitchy files. Again I use emby, I bought a few lifetime licenses years ago. I use both, and they both have their good and not-so-good points.
I miss the transcoding options that can be enforced on the server for clients. Also this guys P75-F1 from reddit displays almost the exact same pattern of banding more prominent though which I found interesting:. If you think about it local dimming is like trying to light a wall by pointing a lot of flashlights at it. That seems to be too high for either my server, my internet, my family members' internet, or some combination of all. I'll take some screenshots later and show you the issue with Emby. One thing I noticed on the Google Play Store was Emby had 100,000+ downloads and ~2,000 reviews while Plex had 1,000,000+ downloads and ~70,000 reviews. I'm running both right now after having had plex for several years. Client Device Availability One of the biggest advantages Plex has over Emby is the fact that it has been maturing for longer than Emby has. I don't recall ever having that problem. So what is the consensus? I just really like kodi player though. Also, Emby has issues finding metadata for the tv shows I have, + the Emby developers are smug and condescending. I've been getting quite a few emails from Emby about server updates and stuff.
I have no problem connecting to my Plex server with the plex app. If you don't access it from localhost, it will not display any of the server configurations, it's locked down.
