Bandai produced three video games based on Eureka Seven; two of them are based on events prior to the show, while the third is based on the first half of the show. I just got done watching Xam'd, so i need something good to follow it up. Admittedly, from the perspective of it being Renton's story, about his journey into adulthood, he may have -had- to return on his own rather than being brought back by someone else, even Eureka. The film features much of the returning staff from the original series and first Hi-Evolution film, but adds character designers Takuhito Kusanagi and Fumihiro Kutagai, and Shingo Abe is now credited as a main animator along with other additions Hideki Kakita, Shuichi Kaneko, Ken Ootsuka, and Nobuaki Nagano. He finds out quickly, however, that life in the lifter group isn't quite as lavish as he once thought. Side note: Is it wrong of me to wish that they would have an orchestral version of Pocketful of Rainbows as background music in here somewhere? The trailer sure makes it look excellent. That's one of the reasons I want Bandai to say something about licensing this. I like what seems to be the core setup, and I'll admit it was necessary because they can't cram in 50 episodes into two hours or however long the running time is. I loved the series, but the movie was so boring. I want to see this movie sooooo badly.

I'm looking pretty forward for this movie, I honestly didn't care all that much the story seemed to have ended nice imo but when I heard the devilfish would be in it I was excited, though when I saw the movie line art for it and it's new bulky attachments I got kind of disappointed, but I still have hope.

A bit more development for Anemone would also be nice. There's not as much of a connection as you're trying to imply. They would get really high ratings everyone loves the show! If it pulls off only the latter and some cool new animation along with a decent reworking of the story, of course , I'll probably be satisfied, though.
