This piece really did switch the light on for me personally as far as this specific topic goes. What I have recorded is that every time Homelink fails, the music resume also fails. Your in-car is now programmed to operate your door. I agree the two are separate functions but I believe the failure in software v 2017. Seems like there is a bug in the latest software update. Press this learn button momentarily.
Frankly, I just expect this kind of car-tech to be hit-and miss and just get used to it. Seemed simple enough and it worked fine from that location. Well, I got my visor fixed. I think my issue had to do with the cold, but could be wrong. Bask in the presence of my new vehicle! Could Homelink not transmitting, mirror staying in reverse position, and music not continuing for active profile being used represent the same failure in the software? Let us know if you find an answer to this frustrating problem, other than using the regular garage door remote. How many of you have had this problem? Sometimes I'm parked in front of the door and have to press it over 20 times for it open, and other times it works perfectly.
You could likely find the parts at a local auto salvage yard too. I pulled the car into my garage and left it for the day. I replaced it, hoping that was the cure to everything, but alas, the driver's visor is still dead. Have to reboot every time I come home to get into the garage. Nevertheless at this time there is actually just one point I am not really too comfortable with and whilst I try to reconcile that with the actual core idea of your position, allow me see exactly what the rest of the subscribers have to point out. I don't believe the two our independent but that is up to Tesla to figure out.
You have successfully programmed HomeLink. Also, media being played does not resume when returning to the car. Makes it look like a local button issue in the Dodge car and Ram truck, not on the opener. However, I did notice the other night I had to press it quite a few times to close the door when we were heading out for a party. Have traveled about 700 miles with no other problems.
After much trouble trying to program my 2013 Mustangs visor control following my owners manual word for word I found out that Ford used a different manufacturer for some visor controls from year to year. This step might have to be repeated 2-3 times before programming is complete. During all these failures, Homelink showed active on the Touchscreen, chime was given but no transmit icon ever showed. The huge collection of libraries on this platform makes it possible to develop anything you want. This is the one with compass, the non-compass has another button that separates the on off switching. Also gives component locations by diagram.
Just an update to this thread. If you remove the lighted part most of the wires you can see right behind it. I then deleted my old Homelink definition and added a new one. Arrrived well packaged a bit late. The mounting is up to you as you can place it anywhere.
Both the mirror light and the homelink don't work now. Went ahead and just clipped it to the visor. Just bought a new 2015 F150 King Ranch with … I guess …. Other times you have to hold it down for 2-3 seconds. It has continued to work just fine since, like before I upgraded to the current software.
For Liftmaster, Sears, or Linear Megacode press and hold the in-car button you programmed until the garage opener light flashes. The reasoning is during the 3rd step of programming, the car is trying to receive a code that the remote sends to the wall control. For Genie systems, go back to the in-car transmitter button you programmed and press this button 3 or 4 times, or until the door starts moving. I did notice it was not giving the little send symbol looks like --. When the mirror stayed in down position, no music played.
The next morning pressing the Homelink button no longer worked. Couldn't get the garage door to open. From the research I've done in these forums, the fault seems to be some sort of short in the visor's wiring, and the only fix is to replace the whole visor assembly. That is something I can live with as I approach my house in D and I can shut the garage door when leaving after I enter Drive after backing into the street. I have no other problems with my car, and now carry my garage door opener in my console.

Will see if it reappears again after three days. Worse things could happen, but it is frustrating! Some systems may require you press the button a third time. With Sears or Liftmaster Chamberlain it is near, or part of, the terminal screw board, and is a red, green or purple square button with a green, amber or purple indicator light. The codes are still there. We did not do any reset or anything else during our trip.
