I'm still able to enter the bios, but I don't know how I'd be able to get a hold of a copy of windows on a disk since this laptop is my only device that can burn disks. You may have a better idea than me, but just wondering if the problems you are seeing are caused by software or hardware if you want to try to do more troubleshooting that way. If not, continue through a language and keyboard preferences screen to the point where you're required to select your usual Windows username and enter the corresponding password if necessary. Repeat the step 1 and step 2. It was running like that for about 5 minutes when I hard rebooted the computer. There might be a way to access the Asus recovery partition and do a reset from there - I think that can be done, but I would have to research the exact process to provide step-by-step instructions. Hopefully there's no licensing conflict since you upgraded to Win10.
The recovery disk will probably cost you something but less than purchasing a retail copy of Windows. As for the drivers, you really need to install them for your devices to work properly. However, that is only if you do a clean install, if you do a factory restore, you get everything. The rest is all available on the Asus website. That way i have a point to go back to when something goes wrong with an upgrade or program installation which messes up the system. I've personally had mixed results with factory resets.
The laptop came with pre-installed Windows 8. The burning process will be finished in a few seconds. Another option is to perform a thorough cleaning of the system and get it up to speed that way. Wait and not use the laptop? If you no longer see an option to 'go back to the previous build' which Windows 10 will normally automatically remove after 10 or 30 days? As far as I recall, Asus didn't have a prompt popup asking me to do the backup of the recovery. Let me know both or either of these items are not available or not working for you.

Yes, i would prefer w10 over w8. Any ideas or tips to try to make this reinstall work? For that amount of money, you'd think one would be supplied just in case. Expecting of a person to wait before using a new laptop for days is not exactly feasible. Now I cannot turn the laptop on at all, when attempting to boot, it simply repeatedly hits the Asus Rog screen and then shuts down and then goes back to the Asus Rogscreen, at no point does it load to windows.
But, it's all a learning curve, and if the curve ain't step enough you don't get that cool whooshing sound as you crest over the other side I've complained to laptop makers for a very long time, and it turns out they do get tired of you asking and eventually break down - whispering the truths behind it all. After playing games on it for nearly 2 years I noticed it got a little slow. And Asus still hadn't put up any drivers, tools, manuals, etc. That is all there is to it! I know asus does not support win 10 drivers for old laptops, but that does not keep you from installing the correct drivers for your devices. Did you manage your startup apps? As per Bizcom instructions, I've disabled both the Fast Boot and the Secure Boot, saved, and restarted. Is there any way I can factory reset my laptop? It's a Windows 10 Asus G75V.
As you said yourself, make sure you have enough to eat first and I'm pretty sure we can't eat or digest electronics. In this example, you will see four account names: one Administrator account, one Default account, one user account and a guest account. I got it from my mom and she said she got extra stuff put in it. The question might be moot if you've already started the Win10 Clean install. I'm so lost now that I'm begging any of you to help me out here.
What is one supposed to do in that scenario? I'll have a chat with LaptopsDirect and Asus tomorrow and see what can be done about Factory Reset. Though my experience was about 2 years ago but it went like this. After the process completes, go to the bottom of the screen and press Reboot button to restart the computer. Plus if that seller has that support limitation it's really up to them to ship an external recovery solution to you - a flash drive preinstalled with the recovery image.
I lost FreeSync support says it's not supported since installing latest drivers. Your laptop will be in a clean state again. The best way is to do a w8 clean install From factory windows dvd. I'm so lost now that I'm begging any of you to help me out here. Yes, i've lost both of the windows, 8.
Getting to Win10 is easy, getting back to Win8. I called them and said I wanted a larger drive, they told me they wouldn't do that, they would put a new 1 terabyte drive and put Windows 8 on it. Asus likely even had a prompt popup that asked you to do this, right? You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane. Please note the software don't support recovering Windows 10 password. The 2nd thing to do is always go to the Support site and download the latest drivers to update your new laptop. Can't help but think Asus could have improved the battery at the very least.
