I plugged hoses and ports and made sure there was no possible place for tramp air to bypass the throttle plates, but still the engine wanted to race. This oil sump was ready for a good clean inside and out. The bottom end would have to fend for itself until the oil pressure built up. This is the completed welded section of the previous picture. The hole one can see near the rear swing arm attachment was replaced with new metal this area was completely corroded. Coil tests good for resistance, and I swapped in a spare that was included with the car for no change in results. Also, I got an oil pan in the mail from kevlarcorrola. Keep up the good work.
