Yet in spite of any objections they might have had, the film is ultimately an accurate representation of Rand's philosophy. She wrote more on the philosophical front and became quite well known, if not recognized. In the book she is a bit over the edge as in the movie. They fought, they suffered and they paid. Considering that the movie is very outdated and many of the beloved actor's might not be recognized by the new generation of Rand followers, I really enjoyed it. And they were able to include some of the suspense and the heartbreak from the book that made watching the movie worthwhile. The characters in the book are much more cool, calm, thoughtful, collected and calculating. It's not a bad movie but it's just not particularly interesting. The casting of Gayle Wynan is meh. In The Fountainhead 1949 Putlocker Full Movie, Individualistic and idealistic architect Howard Roark is expelled from college because his designs fail to fit with existing architectural thinking. This book reads like a novel, but it was intended to be more than that--to present an idea in an engaging way. I agree with the other comments that the movie is incredibly overacted. I won't get into that here. There is one reading which makes these power dynamics a bit more palatable for me: if we see Roark as a filmmaker and the obtuse business executives around his as the moneymen of Hollywood, the film becomes an allegory for the struggle of artistic expression within the studio system.
Roark rejects her fears and says they face many years apart until she alters her thinking. Roark is unable to find a client willing to build according to his vision. It's like savoring a drop of fine wine when you have the whole winery right there for the taking. Whether you love the book or you hate it, it will give you much to ponder about, especially if you value Freedom and Individuality in any way shape or form. During filming, Rand told Gerald Loeb that she disliked this style, ascribing this later to the fact that Carrere had trained as an architect, but not practiced architecture.
