He was reunited with him in 2120 and never saw him again. Jar Jar doesn't fumble his words as he proposes giving Palpatine emergency powers. Tired the torrent file as well and that doesn't wor because it's 25 gb with no seeders. Cuts and Additions inclusive of version 5 : New title crawl, courtesy of Sir Ridley. Superfluous action is subdued to make the film more story driven. It is thematically very relevant, given the spark of hope always being talked about. You took all the material and ideas Lucas wrote and shot and focused them into a sleek cohesive whole that honestly I don't think the average person would notice that its a fan edit.
To me it is more elegant and helpful to the movie overall to cut the Caretakers altogether. Lovingly borrowed audio from L8wrtr's edit in a few spots to remove battle droid voices. Removed dialogue about the Jedi not being able to use the force due to the dark side clouding everything. Also removed Palpatine calling Anakin out on spying on him. Removed his awkward acceptance of his new duties. This is where the Overlord's history really begins to take shape.
Placed Anakin's sole nightmare after this, with the opera scene right afterward. Also removed Yoda's line that sees Anakin and Vader as separate people; it sounds like something he would have said in Return of the Jedi, rather than immediately after Anakin turned. Dave, my mind is going. It's important thematically and fits in with their experiences from Canto Bight. The Caretaker raiding scene has uncompleted effects, as many of the deleted scenes unfortunately do. She was just doing her job when she met the boy. Every creative decision the editor makes seems to compromise the viewing experience in some way.
They aren't even seen at all since Kanto Bight has been mostly removed, anyways. Removed the Jedi giving the clones military advice; this helps establish the clones as competent soldiers and the Jedi as being dependent upon them. By cutting this, Anakin's slip toward depravity can be seen as a little more gradual. Does a shortened, de-cheesed version just not work, or is the entire sequence really that unpopular? And that is why people want to edit the movie. You will be safe there.
Cut away as the railing starts to land on Obi-Wan. Also, I do torrent but when I tried to do that as an alternative method of downloading, clearly, there were no seeders, and I gave up. Please if you have any questions or concerns. If you missed him during the wide shot, it'll be a surprise when he shows up later. Trimmed dialogue and tightened up the action sequence leading up to the bridge fight, including removing R2 slapstick humor. It's not just a silly joke; it tells us that Rey is still clinging to the innocence of childhood.
Similar to my edits of the Star Wars prequel trilogy, if you are hoping for a massive overhaul that fundamentally alters the movie, this isn't the edit for you. But that's just a minor nitpick in the face of all the improvements this brings to the film. Removed Kaminoan prime minister listing numbers of clone units. This scene was color corrected to remove pink tint and better match the surrounding footage. No discussion about Anakin trying to save Padme; she never knew about Anakin's fears about that. I ask because this scene is unpopular, and most people seem happy for it to be cut, but I think cutting it is a mistake and a misunderstanding of the purpose of the scene. You'll want to go inside these folders to find the videos themselves, which you can right click on to download.
All Star Wars content, images, and likenesses are the property of their respective copyright owner. I think if someone were to produce a shot of the saber hitting the ground or something like that it might be able to be better. Anakin and Palpatine don't mention Padme during the knighting of Vader scene. It'll take several hours, but that link is where you will find it. What's most impressive about this is that it cuts a total of 27 minutes and adds 4 min from deleted scenes back in but it feels like nothing is really missing.
Perhaps give it a try? I borrowed one brief shot from L8wrtr's edit. Again, 30 minutes are cut out and it feels like barely anything was lost in the process. I like the idea of Luke dropping the lightsaber, but for me to use it it would have to be totally seamless. Lucas is a great idea guy, but without people to keep him in check you get movies like the prequels. Added deleted scene where Obi-Wan and Mace talk on the landing platform. Trimmed dialogue as Windu and his gang confront Palpatine.
