Replacing the strut is easy 45min job even for a novice mechanic, and you can do it yourself. If you suspect your battery may be in poor condition, try recharging it over night. I have seen previous posts about the air suspension not working if the boot or doors are open so wondered if this may have affected things? The dealer repaired the vehicle, but the failure recurred a year later on the other side. They also say I need front brakes. I will be taking it to a garage again this week all being well and get them to at least reset the fault so it can enguage the air suspension.
I have an 07 truck I paid much less for and haven't had to put a dime in it other than the oil changes. Hopefully, the dealer will fix before I purchase. Fired up the beast and with the motor running, alternator was only returning 13. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Unfortunately, with the complexity of the system many other parts Height sensors, etc, etc can also cause the error message. They have to rebuild the front differential. I'll get them to explain what the fault currently on it is, and what they did to correct it.
The same symptoms and warnings can be caused by any of the following issues priced below. Jump started others from mine, never had an issue. I put it down to the fact that I had a portable fridge plugged in when I turned the car over to go to the show. First, it could be that your compressor failed which imho is best case scenario even though is a costly repair. We had same proplem, remove fuse to air suspension with engine off and key removed, the fuse islocated on right hand boot compartment clean it then replace, startup then drive. It is a beautiful ride. However, it will also come up when alternator or battery voltage is low, or when you reset disconnect and then connect the battery.
Other than the error lights, the car and suspension is behaving normally, regulating the height as required and the suspension is level and all ride heights are achievable. I have taken it to t dealer n they said tat the batt is good but it has a low charge. I just had this problem too. Hopefully, when all is reconnected, I may have the solutions. I know it may sound funny! My best guess is that the air suspension is causing all of the problems. Sounds like a bad ride to me.
I have an 07 truck I paid much less for and haven't had to put a dime in it other than the oil changes. Also the message for 35 mph is coming on. I've had a front driveline, water pump, transmission, transfer case, and alternator go out in addition to numerous other smaller issues. I took it in for the recall to be fixed. So how do you find out what problems are occurring? So I have the alternator out and it is being reconditioned, and meanwhile I have ordered a new belt and am awaiting delivery.
Told them about this issue as well, they said they cleared the codes and replaced some parts. I have the compressor replaced and it went away. Has anyone out there done this and could you let me know whats involved? As a child I used to build model kits, the wife now reckons I've just gone 1:1 scale. They can also redet fault, of course you might have a leaking bag. First, it could be that your compressor failed which imho is best case scenario even though is a costly repair. I had the vehicle checked again and was told it was never aligned and the wheels were not balanced. I have the compressor replaced and it went away.
The car will then be very slow to raise or not raise at all and only go into standard ride height will not go in off road or access mode occasionally it will introduce restricted performance the dreaded limp home mode. Look up Arnott Industires Dec 29, 2008. So, check battery voltage and charge rate as a first point of diagnosis. Look up Arnott Industires Posted on Jun 15, 2009 I just had a similar problem, husband disconnected the battery and when he started the car the brake light, abs, traction control lights were on and air suspension inactive message came on. After about 5+ minutes of the car being shut off, I would start it, and it ran like nothing ever happened.
Worst case, that one or more of your air struts has failed which has prompted the system shut down. Other issues can be one or more corners will not raise. I will keep you posted. The vehicle is again out of alignment and the wheels shake. Reversed out of the drive and it went away, only to return when I got to work.
The error can also be caused by a worn suspension compressor. I am a recent owner of a 2004 Range Rover 3. That way it is ruled out 100%. If you have a flat battery this acts as a massive cushion in the system too so it is near impossible to fry anything. All the warning lights will go out. I thought that I was buying quality, but was wrong.
