This album is a masterpiece. Burning Time is a complete experience deserving of an uninterrupted listen. Featuring a unique, highly emotional and charismatic vocalist as well as some superb musicianship, they were signed to Roadrunner Records and released two full length albums, ''Sinister Funkhouse 17'' and ''Burning Time'' during their existence. The album essentially takes you on a roller coaster of moods between dark ominous clouds to blissful bright blue skies. A difficult band to pigeonhole characteristically, they emerged at an interesting era for metal, when certain bands eschewed the 'stadium rock' antics of the mainstream acts while avoiding the limited range of melodicism of the developing extreme styles of metal.

Hailing from Madison, Wisconsin, Last Crack released 3 albums with ''Burning Time'' to be considered by most as the best moment of their short discography. The singer has power, sounds like U2 gone metal. Finally, the curtain falls with ''Oooh'', a two minutes outro featuring only piano and vocals a very sentimental performance and only two repeating lyrics: ''Love is the only thing that can never die, Oooh, and you are mine''. It is a timeless album and well deserving of your burning time. On the other hand, grunge is to blame for the sudden disappearance of many outstanding bands especially in the U. Released by Roadracer records and produced by Dave Jerden, the album got great reviews, as I remember, but obviously that was not enough. The thirteen tracks flow eloquently to provide you with a spiritual trip through truly creative Energy Minds of Last Crack. Listen to it about 5 times and it will be one of your favorites ever.
