The moment Lucy starts telling Luan she doesn't want to take away her dream, there I start getting glassy eyes. It's fine to disagree but offer your point of view politely, without aggression. This is taken when Lincoln and Clyde confesses to Coach Pacowski as to why his date with Mrs. Grouse watch Lily while he goes to a concert, but things quickly start to go wrong. The ending was super sweet, especially since I'm pretty sure the implication is that she won the chance to be on stage because of the poem. Full of solid comedy along with great development for both Luan and Lucy, Head Poet's Anxiety is an episode we needed from both of these characters and I really hope this isn't the last time Luan and Lucy will be paired up together I would love to see more from them. Rusty ends up with severe rope burns because of it, and needs to have his hands bandaged. It was also probably Luan's best episode up to date. The scenes of 8 year old Luan performing her comedic routines to various audiences are cute to watch, even if she gets booed during them.
Late at night, Lincoln discovers Luan acting rather negatively, and when Lucy explains that she was given an opportunity to perform at the Royal Woods Theater, Lincoln, realizing why Luan is acting so negative, tells Lucy the whole story. At the Royal Woods Theater, the family and elders are attending the show, and the poetry teacher introduces Lucy. So after telling Lucy her backstory, Luan helps her improve on what she loves to do through a series of steps, where Lucy not only gets better at her poetry skills but also learns to bounce back from the hate that will come from putting your material to an audience, proving that everything you put out won't always be received well but what matters is moving past all that. By the end of the episode, they intend to do the same for Mrs. Then on the night of the performance, Lucy ends up figuring out why Luan has been so upset and she feels bad, so she decides to not go which gets the attention of Luan and she realizes that her anger for Lucy taking her dream away, is the cause for Lucy not following her dreams of being a poet.
Sinc this is about officially unreleased content it will have spoilers, so if you haven't watched the episode yet, you might want to stay clear of this thread. The fact that No Laughing Matter tries to frame the siblings as the antagonists for criticizing Luan's comedy and make Luan out to be sympathetic despite clearly annoying her siblings enough for them to criticize her work, genuinely annoys this critic in more ways than one In short, No Laughing Matter is not good and if it wasn't for the April Fools episodes, this would be Luan's worst episode in the series. The next day, Luan completes her comedy routine on the Giggling Geezer and tells the elders that she brought Lucy as a guest to recite one of her poems. Luan explains that when she was younger, she always started out rough, but after graduating from clowning academy, she started , and became a successful comedian.
