She seemed like she was offended by it even before Shinobu told her that her cuteness is all she has, but I find it weird how she could be offended by something that is otherwise a pretty positive compliment. Don't think I've seen them do this in previous text cards. And what a buffet of Araragiservice that was! Koyomi is genuinely concerned about her and reassures her that she can tell him anything. Koyomi soon decides to set up a futon for Nadeko for the night and borrows sleepwear from Tsukihi. The second part was perfectly done. Why would she care about whether she is hurting feelings or being unnecessarily harsh, when humans will die soon anyway.
Kind of tough being the exorcist in a world where demons represent the things you yourself have to deal with 3:32 - Goddamnit you two 4:07 - but I never trust these two to actually keep the story moving 6:08 - 6:19 - 6:40 - 8:50 -. This whole thing actually made me think of. While Hanekawa's rational personality saved her and those around her from self-immolating, Sengoku's naive personality only harbored and intensified her ignorance. As the snake points out she just disregards things that displease her, sweeping them under the rug and avoiding conflict by not acknowleging these.
Instead the frame constantly reminds us that this is a girl having a long discussion with a white scrunchy while her hand mimics the shape of a snake. The gradient is there to demonstrate the contrast. I assume we won't actually see any of that happen for a good five years or so, but still! Damn, I love this anime. Given her desire to direct dissatisfaction outwards and minimal ability to express herself, Nadeko is possibly our most unreliable narrator yet, which in the context of Monogatari is really saying something. Having flaws makes a good character.
Remember, Ononoki said he cheated? I'm not really sure, but let me just speak my mind while I'm typing this. I know, I was just guessing that you can be seen as such and thus lead to downvotes. Also a nice shot, with Nadeko at the head of the snake. Of course, it still fits the show, but it also stands on its own legs far better than many other anime songs. Her voice changed so much, it's almost unrecognizable. Big slowdown this episode compared to last, but I suppose that's kind of inevitable.
It's been a while since I watched this arc, and somehow didn't remember at all how good this arc looks. She can't do something without someone else. Almost every other character has scenes that I enjoy going back and rewatching occasionally, and I think there is only a single Nadeko scene like that, and it's a climactic thing that comes later. Now where have we seen this before. Kanbaru tried to kill people just because someone was better than her. Kuchinawa makes clear whether or not it's really true that he's not actually forcing Nadeko to help, but she's sure acting like she doesn't really want to. But the thing is, those girls usually ends with issues too because they dont learn to deal with hardships and situations that everybody encounters at life. The other times when he kissed Shinobu, Tsukihi and Karen there was a specific reason for it, it is likely that he kissed Shinobu in order to quiet her so he could tell his story.
They dropped this bit from the anime. When you compare Staple Stable to Stairway to Heaven, the difference can be felt. She averts her eyes, hiding them under her bangs, hoping that by not looking at problems they will go away eventually. Kuchinawa remains quiet after Nadeko said that statement, and only begins speaking again as Nadeko tracks down traces of Kuchinawa's corpse. Keep in mind they have restrictions in place to avoid spam.
Soon, Kuchinawa learns from Nadeko's homeroom teacher that Nadeko is her class' representative, but only because nobody else in the class wanted to take up the position, and that she is tasked with resolving the current tension in the class. Even then I try to avoid topics that can be seen as hints for future twists. Shinobu giving Araragi an uppercut was great, had me laughing. Of course, Shinobu just recks Nadeko with her talk. I'm so happy to see both of them finally animated! I don't really know myself, but I believe they were emphasizing on how much Kaiki's curses affected that class and shows how the class views Nadeko. Most dramatically framed middle school teacher This series really hates having to show any more characters than absolutely necessary. And, in addition, the decision to include Yanagi Nagi in the creative process by having her do the vocals instead of relying on vocaloid basically spawned an entire album from Supercell.
