When Cassie discovers that her father has had a debilitating stroke, she sees it as the perfect opportunity to return home and seek justice for her mother. But Liz Gillies did a great job on the character she played. But anyway the ending made it sad for me too. I love how the story is told from Callie's point of view so you relate to her even though she is the 'bad guy' well, girl in the story. I thought this was a great movie for it being lifetime.
I'm not much of a lifetime fan. Characters are shallow and under developed with clichéd performances. She needs to spice it up with some more volatile violence. Killing Daddy Killing Daddy is a 2014 English Film stars Curtis Crawford , Trent Haaga , Elizabeth Gillies , Cynthia Stevenson , William R. She is estranged from her dad but returns upon hearing that he has had a stroke and with no where else to go. Am very surprised that William Moses took the part of the bedridden stroke victim who is soon done away by his diabolical estranged daughter. And even better than that, the movie is realistic.
The end is quite sad, as can be expected from a Lifetime movie but it's yet more prove of Liz Gillies talent that she makes you wish things would have ended better for Callie. But Cassie's revenge won't come as easy as she thinks as hidden truths about her family may derail her entire plan. Later he cuts her of financially so she has to make it on her own, even cutting her out of his will.
Now it's time to get revenge! Elizabeth Gillies who plays Callie acting is very impressive, she can show multiple emotions in one look and that is exactly what gives Callie that extra dimension, both crazy and angry but also hurt and sad at the same time. We have some really good performances here by a demented daughter, victimized attorney and a dedicated housekeeper. Callie has witnessed the suicide of her mother when she was just a little kid. Moses has suffered a stroke and is confined to his bed, unable to speak. Killing Daddy is like a fanfiction story come to life, but not the shitty kind like 50 Shades of Grey came to be.
The intense, dramatic story and the brilliant acting of main character Liz Gillies make this one very special. Cassie's older sister, Laura, has always sided with their father, so for years Cassie has been estranged from her family. Gillies did an excellent job and that makes this movie worth a 10 to me. Stupid caretaker who seemed empty headed when everything was falling around her. Lifetime movie from American television.
It would elevate the stakes if the money amount is bigger.
