The cruiser format is represented by this, the Intruder. Nothing terrible, I just hear it, that's all. I constantly aware of the floorboards when turning! Engine has loads of grunt and makes the right noise. My wife has an 800 Intruder and she gets the same. So, we won't be surprised at all if the Intruder manages to attract a whole new breed of buyers.

Do you have an opinion about the engine performance, reliablity, racing capabilities, touring capabilities, repair and maintenance cost, accident risk, etc? Talking of which, if you're inclined to take the occasional long distance ride on this cruiser, that upswept exhaust also doesn't leave any room to mount a pair of saddlebags. My Yamaha will be worth about the same amount as your Suzy when it's time for a change Anything Butt.
The looks can divide opinion, but like it or not, you cannot ignore it for sure. The gas mileage is twice that of the Valkyrie. Is is the right deal for you? The seating position of the bike is good for me. A few months ago I was on the way home from the office and my bike just quit. The Intruder 1500 is styled to turn heads wherever you go. If the tires are a bit low, the response of the bike when turning feels mushy.
Hey, been looking around for my first bike for a while now. While dissasembling note whether the plug to the center console is tight or loose. Think about that, you gave the fatboy 1 more star in this area and I guarantee they're not crossing 100,000 miles without rebuilds on most occassions. I've also checked the fuses and they are fine. Not to be mistaken with the Intruder M1800, which is a 1,800 cc behemoth, this one is a 155 cc model, which uses the same engine and underpinnings as the highly popular Suzuki Gixxer. If you look on motorcycle websites, these Harley riders and their awesome bikes, are constantly selling and upgrading for, in my mind, hoping to get one that matches the price tag!! So, it does sound slightly different than the Suzuki Gixxer and also feels ever so slightly different. Oh and one last thing, you never mentioned all the goodies you got on this bike that you didn't get on some of the others.
