I was told it could be the transfercase actuator even though its workin that actuator is what sends power to the front to engage the actuator to lock the differential. That can be solved by installing an adapter that creates an electric signal from the cable drive, you can also put a manual valve body in the trans. Remove the actuator to check and see if it is actually functioning. The problem was a worn shift fork in the front axle. Would this be an actuator problem or a weak one?
