It was and still is. Tires actually leave marks on the road at a stoplight now, wow. The gas mileage is definitely not as bad as you might expect from a pickup with that power, as I get around 23mpg's when I keep it at the speed limit. I love driving it, and the very few problems that came with it can mostly be attributed to mileage buildup it's at 103,000 miles now. It's a very large vehicle and I have to put a little thought into where I park it, but that's just another fair trade-off.
Chrysler's number for this recall is R25. Returns are quick and easy, so I didnt hesitate to give it a whirl. Gas millage could be better but still no compaints. Only had one small problem and warranty took care of it otherwise 0 problems in 2 years of ownership. The rest of the kilometers were in the city 30 percent , on the highway at an average speed of 100 kilometers per hour 15 percent , and in the suburbs 0 percent. It is a good looking truck with all the features a person would want.
The starter also went on me, but I think that was at fault of a mechanic. Already let my two best friends with the same trucks but different years, know about it. Regular maintenance is all I've needed to keep this vehicle like new. I took it to my mechanic and was told that it was in excellent shape. They just ordered theirs I believe.

A couple of issues I have had, and the previous owner notified me about them, was the manifolds tend to warp over time, and eventually crack. It's weight is it's one shortcoming off-road. Vehicles that have had their driver side frontal air bag replaced previously need to have their air bag replaced under this recall as well. See your dealer for details. The cab is very comfortable and quiet both in town and on the highway. Any questions I had were answered with a 100% accuracy. Bought it used with 87,000 miles on it last year, and have had no real issues so far. Note: This recall supersedes recall 14V817 in its entirety. If I were to buy another one though, I would get the Hemi, but no real complaints with the 4.
It is an animal off-roading. Chrysler's number for this recall is S43. Overall a really great truck. Excellent bang for the buck and yes I have tried several different performance chips on the market except for the really expensive ones. Dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The only drawback: Local mpg is poor at about 13 -14 mpg in town. Give it a try and see for yourself.
As far as interior and exterior beauty, it is as close to perfect as you can get and has stood up well under the hot Texas sun. Also came with the Daytona package on it for ground effects, looks great in black from the outside. I will keep it Forever!! I live close to my job so I don't really drive too much to get around. I rented this truck for a 2 week hunting trip to test it befor buying a new one. The best part about it is you get surprised everytime you slam on the gas pedal. She has 123,000 and Runs Like New!
