I have had this issue for about a year, and have had it at 3 different dealerships each time they say that they can not seem to duplicate the problem and there is no code stored in the computer there for nothing done. That would cause them to work for a while then they would go out again. Sirius worked fine until I took it into the dealer to have the water pump replaced. This caused a safety concern and could have caused an accident. About the same time, I noticed my blinkers were acting very strange.
I personally think these failures are by design to sell parts. On 9-3-2013 I contacted Chrysler corporation to report the insident but I am not getting any call backs from them so know im letting the insurance company handle it. Third, the undercarriage was rusted. This will send a radio activation signal to the radio. The contact also mentioned that the gauges failed to function. And then they thought it might be the fuel pump¿so they tested the fuel rail and claim that it was losing 5% of its torque¿but not to be concerned¿then they thought it might be the map sensor¿but no!. All lights and the radio remain on and it starts right back up, however my steering and brakes lock up which is a huge safety concern.
They still will not lock with the switch on the driver or passenger side, either key phoebe, or through u connect remotely. They basically told me to take the truck to the dealer. I had electrical tape with me and I have taped it up as a temporary fix to keep the truck from catching fire. I am referring to simply taking the clove box out. The contact heard a leak noise and when the brake pedal was depressed, it went to the floor. The vehicle was taken an independent mechanic, who stated that the driver's side battery fuse panel and the multifunction mechanism would need to be replaced. While I am driving around town at speeds of 40-50 mph all of my dash lights and my radio turn off, stay off for about 5 seconds as if rebooting and come back on. This is a software bug in the radio. This also caused considerable amount of smoking. The brakes would lock up when the weather was damp, when not in use for an extended period and when using four wheel drive all the wheels would lock up. The second issue I have been having is that the passenger side door locks front and back seem to have a mind of their own and do not lock when their supposed to. Lately when I try to use the windshield wipers they work only sporadically.
At about 75,000 miles started having the turn signal switch problem turn left and the right signal flashed and the shake in the front end and have had 4 front end alignment and new set of tires now have 125,000 mile still get the shake and past do to give up in this beast. This caused a safety concern and could have caused a potential accident and 2 while driving the vehicle, the turn signals did not work. Took to Dodge dealer hw hunter in lancaster California on July 9. It states that the symptoms are the abs and brake lights stay on. I am afraid that one time it does this it will not come back on and leave me stranded or worse maybe cause me to have an accident.
Now it is just stuck on channel 184. I have obtained a survalience tape copy of the fire. It was hard to tell where spray was coming from. Say no such department exists. The vehicle was towed to the service dealer, who determined the brake line was rusted, fractured and needed to be replaced. Has anybody else heard this? While I am driving in town, I will go to use the turn signals and the opposite side that I intended to use will come on, and often both blinkers will flash at the same time. Occasionally while drive the lights will go out but come right back on.
