Found out engine oil cooling tube burst and leaked all the oil out and has caused motor damage. Where is the second tire selector switch? I also was wondering what the range of miles were on the recalled vehicles? I asked my garage to check when they did the full service. I have located a parts diagram and the switch so know what it looks like at least. Avg 2 in 20000 miles. Otherwise is this only correctable at the dealer? I asked if this would definetly resolve the issue and they would not confirm this either way and just re-iterated that thats what the computer tells us. . I'll bet you find one. I never associated the two things why would you? This is indicating a failed ignition coil on cylinder 5 - sods law, one of the rear cylinders. Have not had any running problems with the car. The only way to fix it is to replace the engine. So what can you do when the lights stay off and then come on randomly especially when I am not near a garage who could diagnose while the lights are on. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks Chris, I feel a little easier now although it is now getting interesting and frustrating! The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the camshaft sensors were failing. It will be covered under warranty. It is a pretty tight space under there by the parking brake. Luckily I was driving on surface roads at 25-35 mph when mine failed Lexus knew of this problem and eliminated the rubber hose in its 2011 models but did nothing to warn owners of that vehicle. Well it has now been a thousand miles or so with a few tank fill-ups, mostly premium grade fuel but did bight the biscuit and tried inferior supermarket stuff as well! Was started or function was reset, displays the average fuel consumption since, displays the current rate fuel consumption, displays the driving distance since engine was. I have relayed my experiences on the similar forum concerning this problem suffice to say it cost me £125 for the new coil - watching the mechanic do the work, I could readily handle coils 2, 4 and 6 but the rest needs pipes moving etc and that's a bit of a no no!
