If no start always check for good hot blue spark to all spark plugs and for spark out of coil. As stated before I have a new fuel pump about 2 yrs now, tuned up about 4 months ago. If so it probably bent valves. Maybe even a timing issue.

. Most likely it's your crank position sensor, at least mine was. The alternator is belt driven by your engine and generates electricity to re-charge your battery. Something like that would probably set off one of the O2 sensors and throw a code. Most of these in this year have a transponder key. Here is what i found yesterday.
Marty Yes fuel pump is in the gas tank. Cap and rotor, spark plugs and wires, changed oil and filter and air filter. It is very intermitant and hard to discover. How many times should I replace the oil filter and why should it be changed right after it was put in less that 4 months ago? I have picked every brain I know and everyone is puzzled! Check for lose of fuel pressure on cold cranking per specs. Have fuel coming up to the pressure relief valve. I also verified the crank signal ckt from the fuse panel to the control module. Did you have a look see when starter was removed? Not likely battery or battery connection related.
Later V6 and V8 gm engines should have 60-66 fuel pressure. I have added Sea Foam to the intake once and through the gas tank several times. Do you add the Sea foam to the fuel tank or the intake to clean out the carbon?
